First let me apologize if this has been mentioned before. I've spent the last hour looking for any indication as to where someone might have asked this before. And I have come up short.

I think it would be a fantastic idea if we could just buy the chassis of a mech. It would be cheaper and easier. For instance I am working on getting another Cataphract. I have my eye set on the one who is worth almost 10 million, the 3D. However i already have a nice stockpile of weapons, ammunition, and engines lying around. I don't care to pay for a unneeded XL 280, 4 M Lasers, U AC/5, or a LB 10-X AC. Along with jump jets and all that jazz. I simply do not need it and I know i wouldn't use half the things that have came with it.

So instead of being able to buy just the chassis of the mech and build it to my specs, maybe for a few million less. No I must now have to wait and grind it out till i get 10 million, then sell half of the stuff and spend more C-Bills trying to build it to what i want. So that 10 million C-Bill mech is now costing 16 million.

Just an idea for the developers, I have thought about how useful this would be for everybody.

The problem is that allowing the mechs to be sold for less, for any reason reduces the amount of grind or MC people need to do. F2P games survive on the grind.
