Mecha Shiva is from the Venture Brothers. The boys were riding on each others shoulders something over them and pretending to be a robot with many arms. Mecha-robot Shiva-used here to reference something with many arms. Mecha Shiva. Think of little kids riding piggy back. I endorse the use of Mecha Shiva over "Voltroning" which is awkward.

After 50 kph the top mech begins sliding off.

Friends have done an Ilya on top of a fast Hunchback, so >50 kph is absolutely possible.

It's a crap move. If it allows a jump-jet type mech that is SLOWER to get on top and go faster on the back of a smaller, light mech, it's an exploit. However, once collision and DFA damage comes into play, that crap will die quick.

Well i have seen 10+ videos where they say the opposite, and not one of an atlas rideing a jenner to disprove it.

So i am going to have to use the old fallback of vids or it dident happen. And a mech just standing on a light fast mech dosent count, any mechs can do that.

whelp, looks like the mech riding on top is invulnerable, so yes, a bannable offense...report it when you see it.

Exploiting is exploiting regardless of how good/useful it is... now if there were private servers you could setup to make videos that'd be one thing, but you're screwing with others' game time which sometimes isn't a large time block for people.

Has it occured to you that perhaps the Jenner (or Atlas) is the problem? Or maybe that the top Mech can't move faster than it could on its own, and falls off if the bottom Mech exceeds that speed?

My friends didn't make a vid when they did it, but they repeatedly ferried an Ilya into battle on top of a fast(ish) Hunchback. Then again an Ilya can run pretty fast anyway, so they might not have been saving any time. Sounded pretty funny on TeamSpeak, though.

A slow moving target 2 mechs tall, put those free-fire LRMs/x6 PPC Stalkers to good use and blow them down.

The only real advantage is the WTF-Factor.

Giving a mech a "top hat" will only be possible before they properly implement DFA into the game, when the bottom mech will invariably be crushed by the mech riding it. May as well enjoy it while we can... as long as it's fine by the devs.

Of course, this does make this game the most realistic real-time combat battletech hat simulator that currently exists. It's like TF2 for mechs! :)

If the Mech riding on top is actually invulnerable like people are saying, then have the Atlas stand behind a short building or low hill. Instant invulnerable firing platform.
