So, first post and it seems to be an "I'm sorry for being an ***" one.
Just completed a match on Forest Colony and we were down to the last mech on the other side, a Streak-Cat. Gawd the build I swore I will never, ever, play.
SSRM's are not for boating IMO, secondary system only. But I digress..
So I closed with the other 2 teammates still up, my LRM's depleted and down to my LBX and 1 pulse laser, all good. and he was doing a pretty good job hiding out and staying mobile, but funny thing, he wasn't shooting! "LOL amazing a streak-cat that ran out of ammo! Will wonders never cease." So the other two mechs and I start dismantling him, he is dodging quite well... Well, it was a long day at work and a callous streak came onto me... I gotta jab him for running out of ammo, I mean it is normally Streaks all damm day with that spec.
I type out "Aw did the Streak-cat run out of ammo?" And almost immediately comes back a message that made me regret the jibe, "Nope ran out of Lock." Puzzled look? Oh crap! I'm running my D-DC... I'm the guy jamming him, he is powerless to hit back. I instantly had regret for my first remark, I mean damm, I never noticed the ECM bar over his head.
"Real classy" I thought, I just turned into one of those mouth breathers I hate, cocky as hell.
I immediately turned my ECM to Counter and we did kill him shortly after but gotta at least give the chance to hit back.
I would like to apologize to all in that match, not how I roll and turned a good match into something cheap.
Love the game and the atmosphere and I really don't want things like this to lessen the fun of the game for all.
Cheers.
And yeah, I know.... TL.DR. But had to get it off my chest.

First off I can say I sorta know how you feel, nothing is as much fun as a good clean battle!!!
Having said that, ECM is now part of the game, and a Streakcat pilot has to be aware that this may happen to them - they could have crossfit some lasers, or even vanilla SRM's but chose to go for the lock shoot variety. Its known as digging your own grave!!
So to be quite honest mate I don't think you really need to apologise - the pilot took the gamble and lost - end of story

Yeah, as a former Streakapult pilot, I have to say, that in today's oft ecm-filled combat environment, you really should be packing a backup weapons system. A pair of SRM6's does very nicely.

At first this post puzzled me a little. I mean a nice post about a match where the person admits their mistake. How odd is that. Then I see the OP is from Canada and it all then makes sense. Stupid polite Canadians mucking up the feces throwing.

Seriously dude? You apologized for that? I laugh my *** off at hopeless StreakCats. I'd post something in chat but I'm too busy taking my time to strip them of their arms, legs, and torsos piece by piece.
(ps. I'm also Canadian. So I don't think it's a Canada thing)

I have zero sympathy for Streakcats. Whenever I run into one under an ally's ECM umbrella (I refuse to use it myself, because it's almost as bad) it's simply glorious to tear them apart when they can't just get a lock and hold down their mouse button to "skill" their way to victory.

My apologies for G4M3R, I suspect he may be from Montreal, or might be a politician. I see no other reason for laughing at this incident.
Don't beat yourself up too much about your foul mouthing in the game. It was a mistake, and we all make them.

Eh your post kindof comes across like someone just wanting to say "I am so awesome and noble, and even though I overtly acted like a douchebag let me clarify to you all how awesome and noble I am".
But I am willing to give you the benefit of the doubt that you are really looking to apologize to some random player and I say to you that, mistakes happen, trash talk happens, the world keeps spinning.
Ditch the DC atlas if you want to impress anyone with your sense of fair play though. ECM anything is ridiculously overpowered and does not bring out any skill from the player.
