Ilya Muromets, 3 UAC/5s, 3 medium lasers. Good times.

I've done this once when I solo pug dropped in my Raven 3L (about a week ago actually). Tried to print screen and paste into paint but it turned out black.

Anyways I ended up with 8 kills and 1067 damage running 3 mlas and 2 streaks. I wish I had a screenie for it, but it happened and hey if anyone else screen capped it for me I would like to have a copy haha.

I now have fraps installed so I can screen cap when needed.

Keep in mind it's common for the 8-kill result to happen not for a glory-hound or one claiming solo greatness, but for the team member whose job it is to show up at any combat front. The best fire-support, cavalry, gap-filler, go where needed pilots and mechs are doing their job, whether reported at the end as 8 assists or sometimes, highest kills. Slamming a pilot for showing the 8K is a guess as to his and others' roles during the battle, especially in a PUG.

The kill stealing charge is ridiculous. Mechwarriors in battles like these should never hesitate to splash the enemy, too concerned that they might be blamed for robbing a lancemate of the kill-shot.

Congrats Op. I think I've pulled a 7 twice...never the 8.

Not eight kills, but I just had a match where my team was steamrolled very fast. I was in the middle of the firefight and somehow managed to dance around in my 'fast' Stalker. Surrounded at all directions by about 6 mechs, I still managed to kill 4 of them.

I think the Uac5 jam mechanic was already changed before the new scoring system came into place (which I see in the pic). So probabaly not.

I don't know the OP but I was on his team during that match (Profiteer).

I got killed mid-way through and spectated his mech.

He played bloody well, used cover, flanked mechs, got beaten to hell and still got the last 2 kills with one ear of his cat blown off.

Much respect.

Thank you very much, I try my best even if pug matches is the only thing I play

Big coincidence it occurs in the A-hole, huh?

Big coincidence some whiner posts his whine in big bold letters, huh?
It does not matter what build he did it on.
How many SRM Cats have an 8 kill game? My guess is an exceedingly small number.
What he did deserves some recognition and the fact that you are so petty as to post what you did shows what type of person you are.

Congrats man. I've done the 8 kill thing once or twice but it was always with the support of my team. I was playing the anchor man of the lance and managed to locate and hit the rents in the enemy armour my teamates made and got the kill shot. However, I always claimed it as a team kill. The idea of steal killing has always erked me. If you know someone is in a one on one battle by all means let them finish unless they call for help. But if all assests are in the middle of a the scrum then all bets are off. Who's to say that Atlas that everyone is shooting at is your kill exclusively? I'm sure everyone else shooting at him have the same claim to make.

Anyway, good show man. I don't particularly like the SplatCat and find it Mechwarrior on Training Wheels. However, a good pilot making good decisions is still a good pilot making good decisions.

I do find it interesting that no one has pointed out the other team playing thier part other than dying. They did do damage and kill this pilot's team. That means they weren't focusing on the splatcat. I'm sure this contributed to the 8 kill victory.

Finally, lets try to keep things in perspective. Damage done posting to the score screen is not accurate by any means. I played over double XP weekend in my Spider with 2 Medium Lasers. I fired both buns at every opportunity and got an assist reward for 8 mechs. (2 x 5) x 8 = 80 damage. At the very least I should have 80 damage on the board and only if I shot each mech once all game. My calculated damage was 28 for the match. So, I wouldn't put too much stock into who did what for damage.

You did not get 8 kills, you simply finished off 8 mechs. Show me a screenshot where your team has 0 dmg and you killed the entire enemy team solo. Then I will be impressed.

with 1200 damage done, he basically just did -__-.
nobody on his team had enough damage to deserve a kill.

But there is a "me" where I put the team on my back.

I like that part where the offensive line opens a hole, and downfield pursuit-blocking gives him a lane while slowing pursuit. I like those parts. Oh, and the unbelievably bad tackling :P

Just so nobody misunderstands, I had a huge amount of help from Glynt, who I was partnered with. We were the only ones left at the end of the match, both in CDA-3Ms.

Original post: Its called a "joke," you may have heard of them.

STOP giving the OP a hard time, I didn't see any of the critics putting up a screenshot...
Quit acting like "bridesmaids" that never made it to the Altar themselves...

Genuinely not trying to start ****, but I am curious as to what is cheese about the A1 splatapult.

I freely admit to this build being my single most frustrating 1v1 encounter. But I feel compared to the streak cats of old and the dime a dozen tag, ml, SSRM ECM 3Ls which require the bare minimum aiming ability the SRM A1 still requires the pilot to aim and compensate for a moving target.
