As tittle I can't seem to power back up after a shutdown. And yes, I am using P, not O...

During a match in Caustic, I twice got the "your Mech is powering up from auto shutdown but it still shows the automatic shutdown screen and no HUD" bug. Fixed both times by powering down and back up, but I haven't had that bug for several patches, and I'm not happy to see it back.

(To prevent everyone from thinking I'm a grumpy grumpster, I am simultaneously very pleased with the apparently-improved hit detection/netcode, and also like the new startup screen.)

As the title says, the Over Heat Screen not going away when the mech cools down is back.

Saw this on Caustic in a K2 and On Frozen City same K2.

I got it in Caustic with a Stalker-5M, and saw a 3F get it in Frozen City while spectating.

happens to me every match without fail.
this bug killed me 3 times today

i thought i was still shut down, then to try and fix it i powered off and on but that leaves you so vulnerable... not even powering up in th first try

It's getting really annoying now. Starting to get it like every OTHER shutdown. And I'm playing PPCs, so it's happening a lot.

Yeap. I'd rather have the bad netcode than this cripping bug back, and it seems to be even more common than before (pretty much every second or third I overheat in a match). Noting like losing all ability to aim or know damage dealt or taken without having to stop and make yourself a sitting duck for another eight seconds.

yep same problem here, 3 matches in a row, couldn't power back up after an overheat shutdown. gonna try re-mapping the P key, will update with edit

edit: after remapping P to Lbracket it seems that it just takes longer to power back up. Don't know how much longer, but it seems like an eternity when your getting pounded on. If its tied in to how much you overheated (and thus takes longer to cool to a re-start temp) then I can see it as wai. But if its just a standard increase in time, then i don't like it. I'll try to keep a better eye on it, so i can decide on which it is

Disagree, Ranzear. This bug is worth the netcode improvements, if it's one or the other.
BUT I WANT NO BUGS, NOT ONE OR T'OTHER.

yes i get it upon activating the overide sometimes, not only is your hud gone but your mech is frozen in shutdown stance and floats around like a zombie. great laugh but not happy to see the bug back, needs to be adressed ASAP!

I noticed that you had to wait longer to power back up than previously. Maybe you are accidentally hitting the button too many times while trying to get it to engage and tricking it into thinking you want to be powered off/on/off/on/off? Try waiting a bit longer and using 1 deliberate press.

I 'think' overhead shutdown will still auto-start if you wait, don't try to override it.

Can you try both of these out and let us know your results? I'll try to replicate tomorrow. Just trying to build up more info for them to go off of as we work this issue out.

I got this with no actual overheat or override. Was running hot into my excess cap from the basic skill but I'm pretty careful about not putting myself into shut down. I couldn't replicate it through several matches though. Will continue trying.

me suspects the new p and o overide commands have bypassed some re-initiation code, doesn't happen when i let the cooldown take it's course. we'll need to experiment further.

I get it when letting my 'Mech power up normally (after an auto shutdown) all the time.
