In the past couple matches I have been getting kills by literally walking into people.

First time was on Forest colony while I was brawling a Cataphract with my Hunchback. I was circling him and got him very low... then I went up one of the hills and jumped down. I landed on his head and he proceeded to explode.

Second time around was on frozen city. Still in my Hunchy, my team was moping up and capping Kappa. I walk up to help, and my friendly spider turns the corner into me. He too exploded on contact.

Both times were rather funny in my mind (Minus the team kill part) and I was wondering if you guys have any experiences with collision killing.

S!

Funniest Spider kill was one on Forest Colony near the "crane" with container hanging in the air. A legged Spider with the other leg also red tried to jump over me but his leg hit my torso and he went boom midair. Team mate saw it happen and got a good laugh out of it. Collisions do cause some damage so you might get a lucky kill now and then by running into an almost cored/heavily damaged Mech.

I believe the collision damage has been in for sometime by this same experience in the recent past. I also believe it may be more prevailant now that the netcode may have had a boost. This is going to mean that some are going to have to change thier play style and be more cautious of getting in your face. Lights will have to drive better. And others will know how to use this in combat. The key here is we have a new in game physics we will have to adapt to.
No doubt there will be the complaints.

I have known about the collision damage for a while, it's just I haven't gotten kills from it until recently.

Nice. I'll have the pleasure of running into heavily damaged mechs to kill them if I'm close to overheating. =D

OMFG!! LMAO!!! OK... now that it really seems the netcode issues and lag shilding (while not gone) have been cleared up to the point that (even though) knock downs are still not back... its so obvious that collision damage is working lol. I just had a match where (in my Phract) I hit a commando with my 4 medium lasers as hes running at me. I fire again and hit again (not sure how many hit) but by the time he got to me his torso was in the red. He tried to turn sharply to avoid running into me and smacks into my side and explodes!! LMFAO!! Right after that i watched one of my team mates die as his centurion had an Atlas drop down on to his head in the River city tunnel (DFA basically) and the Centurion went down with a destroyed head LMAO!!! So word to the wise (thats you light pilots) watch who or what you now run into... it hurts!!
