Also, maybe it was all the beer, but it seems like MLAS are hitting harder now? Or is it that they are just on target longer and more often due to the netcode improvements?

QFT, i was about dying laughing the 7th-odd time i imploded a 3L from 500m in my ECM spider (2ML, 1 ER LL)

ECM spider, meet AC/20. AC/20, be polite and say hello. *WHAP* Where'd spider go and what's all this flaming wreckage?

That cheered me up no end.

All my drops had 2-4 lights... I guess I haven't seen the changes that seem to be sweeping this thread. The only thing that I've had to change is stop trying to lead faster targets (or as much with my AC on my centurion)- and this habit is harder for me to break than any other....

My last 2 drops I swapped to my raven and there were so many lights my damage was minimal because I was trying not to hit team members *shrugs*. Nor did I notice 'insta light death' in my mech, as I came out of both rounds still alive <_<

Oh wait, I played 3 and did die the first one, but only after being the second to last person there (I haven't played my light in about 2-3 weeks).

I still don't think fixing the netcode is going to change too much for people that understand lag shooting and look for the hitbox w/out too much thought....

Edit: I dunno, I'm of the opinion that if you had a tough time hitting lights with your 'AC20 in the FACE LIGHT!' or whatever weapon you use, with the full understanding that you need to hit the modified hitbox, then you will probably still have a tough time hitting lights when the hit box is on the mech....

I'm thrilled that things are better with this new patch.

However, I think the player should controle filters like tonnage limits. Personaly, I don't care what I come up against. Also, adding filters like tonnage limits, premade team only, and non-premade team only will create and increase wait times.

Do people ready what these filters at the cost of having to wait for a match?

Well it seems all the raven players have traded in their light mechs for assault mechs. I have to admit it's better this way. At least you can hit an assault mech, although I do feel a bit outnumbered when playing my medium mechs. Maybe tonnage limits will balance out the teams a little?

i've moved on the COM-TDK

No need. I too am seeing a lot more atlai with ECM and I .. LOVE IT. ECM is not unbalanced at all in such mechs... if an atlas gets close to you so that it fubars your ability to lock you DESERVE the boning you're getting. Most mechs can outrun an atlas...in reverse.
