Has anyone noticed the founder's Cat is different?

Has anyone noticed the addition to the cockpit area of the Cat that comes to a point?
I wonder if the founder's Cat has Guardian ECM, Beagle Active Probe or maybe C3?
The Founder's lance could be a linked unit with enhanced sensors and communication. Does this mean no hiding from them, and improved LRM guidance?
Is that a NARC in your pocket?

Hunchback has got a chin, Atlas got a new head and lost the right LRM-rack and the Jenner has a spherical cockpit instead of an angled one.
All the founders mechs look slightly different... I suppose they may be special variants of the chassi, which means they will probably make a trade off in some way.
Making them outright better in one way or another would completely go against the philosophy of not selling "power" that the devs want to follow with this game...

They're just variants in artwork, an homage to the original TRO art in a way. The only benefits that they have are already addressed by the devs in their post about Operation: Inception

The devs did say knowledge is power...
A C3 network would rock with artillery and other special case senerios.
Just saying.

Give out a better mech for $ 60.
Devs aren't stupid and know it would scare away many people.

It's just a nice little changed model (also, the second LRM rack isn't even on the original Atlas in the game).

If what others have posted about AMS on the Altas variant is true then why not a Beagle Probe?
If the founder's are mods of 3039 versions then it could stay in balance, but let more slot spaces be available for different type of weapons.
One could hope.

It was pretty hot topic once the trailer launched (that Atlas hot drop with rock) and people noticed one rack's missing. ![;)](https://static.mwomercs.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/wink.png)

Well, I only watched it like 3 times lol
... and was too amazed by it's awesomeness to notice.
Also, I'm not that active in the general discussion section of the forum, as there's too much speculation going on for my taste and if you ask me, that's just a detail anyway, so nothing I'd make a fuzz about...

Maybe they're different, maybe they're not...
Either way, as said before, it's highly unlikely that they are just better than a normal mech without any tradeoffs...

In theory they could have alternate loadouts or equipment, but there is nothing to indicate that they do.
You can just load up BAP or ECM on you founder mech in the mechlab anyway

When was C3 invented? I think it was around in 3049 but I'm not sure.

C3 was introduced in 3050, but was unpopular for several years because it clashed with the Bushido honor code that was prevalent in the Draconis Combine at that time. After a few years, it spread to other states and became more popular.

It would be nice if the founders mechs could have allocations for various weapons type that may not be used at first but could allow future exchanges. Case in point would be the Atlas or Cat having extra slots assigned for energy weapons in torso so PPCs could be swapped for medium lasers and downgraded LRM racks (just and example).
