They also don't have doors to deal with. That's the point. You don't get that extra resistance unless you have to mess with the doors and have them shut in the first place. When they're open or nonexistent, standard resistance. Close them, eat delay but enjoy a bit of extra cover. It's fair. It's not a "nerf" to all other mechs, that's a silly way to look at this. It's a small bonus to offset a small annoyance, not a game breaking superpower of mega shielding.

More and more, I'm seeing energy-based Stalkers run around with their bay doors closed. It urks me that a 'mech should get the door benefit without running any missiles.

Here is my pet PEV about missile doors the indicator lights. You would think PGI could make a RED light for door closure and a green one for a open door. Instead for me its a Bitcch to tell if there open or not with the tan/green light combo we have now. So I vote for RED light=Closed/GREEN light=Open.
