~S~ Game is really becoming very enjoyable even though its ?20% done.. Stay thirsty my friends!

Anyways, startup sequence is great... WHat would make it better. ? Have outside ambient sounds fliter in b4 startup.. Weapons fire on river.. Machinery and hiss on cauldron.. wind, whatever..
SIlence is boring.. ja , maybe its realistic if you want to argue acoustic properties of mechs, but hearing the enviroment would be immersive and awesome.

WE have new end of round screen coming, but theres a little something that would add greatly to the "cool" factor which are the hooks that really retain new players to the universe..
EIther before, or after the stats, lets have for 5 seconds on screen your mech.
Either its battered and broken body destroyed , OR standing, glorious in whatever shape it came through the battle.

Just imagine that image, your the last guy standing, smoking, yet at your feet, your foe, a shattered wreck...
Not too difficult to implement id imagine, a screenshot is perfectly acceptable, and I would guess could be done by the same folks that brought us the startup animations taking nothing away from map dev and code issues.

Thoughts???

I can agree with this idea, and eventually maybe add ambiance for faction specific chatter. Radio messages coming in before the start up sequence before you switch to a local frequency or something. Explosion echos and hissing noises from the engine starting, I'd like my mech to be a lot noisier.

no other feedback? no one wants to see their mech end of round? You never get to see it anymore anyways unless your knocked down<with knockdowns brought back. >
The battle scars, the new paint job flickering in the firelight? What it looks like with your arm torn off, but you still survived?

I agree to this. I believe MW 3 did this. Of course anything eye and ear candy that has to do with big stompy robots is good to.
Next the smell of a cooking Raven.

Wouldn't you need to turn on external sound recording devices to pick up that sound in your cockpit? Hm.

I would like a bit more audio ambiance like for example the radio chatter that was going on in Homeworld (Not too verbose, just occasional messages)..

I approve, a little more immersion never hurt.

reminds me of the time I was told to blast some music through the teamspeak channel when we won

You know what might be reeaaaally cool?
Watching your mech pilot open up the cockpit at the end of round and climb out and sit on the top of the 'mech having a short relax moment.

That would be really neat! Heck, ambient sounds throughout the entire match please!

I am not convinced that I would like ambient noise as I am pleasantly pleased with the roar of the engine and the dakka-dakka, pew-pew. However, I LOVE the idea of the end of round screen with the condition of your mech and either it standing above another mech (presumably from the other team for a victory) or being towered over (presumably from the other team for a defeat). Add your suggestions to the suggestions thread.

I think the engine needs to make more noise in the cabin... I really liked that throttle and foot stepping noise in MW2.

I want a loudspeaker on my mech so I can force everyone to listen to the biggest hits of the 80s, 90s, and today.

Alternatively nothing but cheesy dance music from the early 90s plus Good Vibrations and the mortal kombat theme song

I agree. The ambient noise i want is prior to the start up sequence. I know we can hear outside the mech bec of weapon fire, stomping feet and You can hear the other mechs engines, and i even thought i heard another mechs betty once.
So, e.g. prior to startup on frozen you hear the howling wind.

I like the end of match seeing your Mech idea. Your Mech standing over the Mech you did most damage to that game if you win and survive, the Mech that killed you standing over you if you lose, and just your Mech destroyed by itself if you die but your team still wins the match.
