Match Play Style/Objective Suggestion: Assassination Match Mode

A heavy or assault mech from each team is picked to be the target for the opposing team. If it dies, the team that killed it wins.

Players in this mode would need to protect the mech while trying to skill the other team's mech.

Players who deal damage, spot, assist, to or kill the target-of-assassination get bonus C-Bills above and beyond what they'd get for damaging, killing, assisting, etc. on other mechs. Plus the winning team gets paid more, right?

I think you need an objective like reaching another point on the map. That way you need to deploy scouts to find the opposing team. You'll probably need two escape points though or chances are the assassins will just camp exit point.

I actually recommended one where there is an objective to get to and called it Escort mode.

This one would be protecting a commander or VIP (until help arrived?) and the whole map would be the play field. I've played paintball games like this and enjoyed them.

This actually sounds like a lot of fun. What if no one is in an assault? Pick the heaviest mech on each side?
