Quite Blaming Game Crashes

Stop defending these people by blaming the game for crashing. Its bad game etiquette and flat out BS to disconnect to farm CB or to rob someone from a kill.

But, when I play with a lancemate, he'll often notice that I won't register a disconnect, even if my computer straight-up shuts down. I've literally won games with my 'mech stupidly running in circles after I've crashed (I RP that my character has narcolepsy) when I'm the only remaining 'mech on my team and we win by getting 750 pickles.
So I don't believe in getting angry at people who disconnect randomly or at the start of a match. But right before death, yes, those people are scum. The kind of people who drive in the shoulder during traffic jams, take 16 items into a "15 or less" aisle and park in handicapped spots.

Once every 20 games or so. But I do agree that DCing to farm is in poor taste.
Sir go take a nap, you seem cranky.

It's not that the computers are ******, it's that the game isn't optimized, the bugs aren't gone.
Now, the memory leak crashes happen to me in the middle of brawls, too, whether I was getting my *** beat or not, but I've never been fighting someone up close and THEN disconnected.
It's mostly near the beginning of matches or JUST as I engage everything.

Real men don't think yellow screen is match-ending. Right-shift F11, and stick with a buddy so you can shoot at what they shoot at to avoid FF. If your buddy dies, go for cap and shoot at anything that shoots back at you. (But for the love of God don't shoot at just anything you see... had a teammate nearly kill me when I tried to help him cap when he had yellow screen). Also, remember you don't have chat any longer. My best yellow screen game netted 2 kills and me surviving. But I can get 1 kill with yellow screen pretty consistently.

Often people will say, "Soso is AFK". If the DC happens at the start, it could be someone farming or it couple be that they encountered one of the many bugs. If the DC happens when the other person knows they are about to die, it's pretty much guaranteed that they DC'ed on purpose. If you see a mech moving along the map or walking endlessly into a mountain side, it is pretty much guaranteed that they had a CTD.

killed me a Cataphract with the gold screen the other day. His small fast friend tore me to shreds since I couldn't see him through the solid yellow bar over the lower half of my screen!

Well, maybe you can but if I can't see anything but yellow, it's not going to happen.

If you play enough, you will start to recognize the names of the players who always disconnect. Farmers "play" more games, so your chances of being dropped with them is higher and that makes them easier to pick out of a group.
Not everyone who crashes is a farmer.

I had that yesterday ( dont know if its fixed, havent played ), I quit playing because of the disconnects I kept getting. About 50% of matches I DCed a few minutes in, then after about a dozen DCs, I just gave up.
Before yesterday, I dont think I experienced more than one or two in match DCs since CB.

DayZ had the entire community inflamed against the same sort of activity. people would do it to avoid zombies and the like... but then they made it so you either couldn't log into the server for a long time, or your body sat around for 5 minutes just free for people to maim, including zombies.
DayZ itself had major problems - there was a crash reported that was part of ARMA and no one seemed to take it seriously. My game would crash every 3 to 5 minutes sometimes.

I had most often no problems till the first january patch where i had quite often "Yellow Outs", No Huds, CTDs.
The recent patch fixed most of it and i had in ~20 matches one buggy HUD, buggy Minimap and a few of the usual "Grey Mech" games.
If the bug ratio is 1 bug per 5 matches per player that means that you have 3 bugs per 15 players in a match that consists 16 players so the chance is to have more than 3 bugs per match though not every bug is a CTD or DC.

Something has happened, and now the game is literally unplayable to me right now. I have an under 40ms ping, live in the same city as the servers and from my end my internet is staying rock solid. Ive done a complete reinstall.
Something server side is screwing me, and has been since yesterday.

What grinds my gears is crashes during mid battle. Im in the thick of the fighting and bam, now on desktop... I havent had this since before christmas patch though.
The wrost one to have is yellow screen, because other teammates will see you piloting and not doing so well, and this invites all sorts of riff-raff. Even clearing the HUD doesnt help too much, as you cant easily identify friend vs foe. Ive had this twice since lates patch.
The biggest problem of crashing is letting your team down by not giving them an even match.

I enjoy the challenge of a good yellow screen. I too am able to still be a valid member of the team.
Adapt and overcome people.
