Is there a way to transfer Pilot EXP off of other mechs to the one you are currently using? I have a few chassis that I dont use anymore with EXP just sitting on them, and if I remember right you used to be able to do this a few months ago. I just dont know if that has changed since I came back?

Thanks

you can Spend MC to convert the XP from one Chassis into General XP. You can then spend the GXP on any mech you own.

Thank you, but however,I do not see where this can be done at?

I click on the chassis that I want to transfer EXP from and I do not see anything allowing me to do this.

One of the options on the bottom.... Though IMO I don't see a use for it. EVERY mech you ever use for more than a couple days will always get more exp than you can ever use. So don't stress on it, its fast enough to master up. Your better off using that MC to buy more hero mechs, mech bays, or premium time. The Gxp should only really be spent on modules with the current system.

Of course, the exception is if you have more money than time and don't enjoy running the mechs. Then of course it doesn't hurt to spend 20$ to save yourself some grinding in a painful design.

Checking the launcher now.
When you have the mech selected in the pilot lab in the top right is the option to Exchange Exp. Its next to the exp total above heat containment.

In the Pilotlab you choose the mech variant with MechXP (highlight it).
Top right in the big middle window will an orange "Exchange XP" button appear.
Click that and you get a new window with a slider you can use to convert an amount of your MechXP into General XP if you like to spend some of your MC.

25 GXP cost 1 MC.

General XP is put into a XP Pool that is not Mechspecific - the amount of GXP is shown at the bottom of the Mechlab.
As long you have enough GXP the Mechlab will ask if you want to use GXP or MechXP when you purchase the Mech Skills.

Thank you for the replies. I guess I am just lost as I see no option for this anywhere.

I have clicked on the variant I want to transfer EXP from and have looked all over the place and no option or orange anything allowing me to do this, LOL, oh well its probably for the better and an "oman" to keep my MC.

Thanks again

In the pilotlab, in the middlewindow, on top of the right blue basic skill.
If your Mech has Mech XP there should have to appear the exchange button.
You need first to convert XP from Mechs that already have XP into GXP.
After that you can go to the Mech you want to give GXP.

Thanks, I have followed all directions that you all have given and there is nothing there. I do have EXP on the chassis as it shows over 3K in the upper right corner but no option to exchange it no matter where I click. I guess my game is bugged or something as I have looked everywhere and clicked everywhere and tried other chassis and its the same thing.

Thanks again

What the people above are failing to mention is that you CAN NOT convert mech XP to general XP until you have completed the entire basic tier for three versions of that mech.

This change was put in a couple of patches ago.

Ok I think there lies my issue then. I was so dang confused as to why I could not see this dang orange button.

Thanks again, However, I think its a little crazy that I have to complete all three basic just to convert..........

Sorry, that's not true. I only have all the basics unlocked for that 1 variant and I have the option to convert mine. .. Perhaps you just need to have all the basics unlocked for that specific variant to sell? But you certainly don't need to have all 3 variants unlocked.

(can't post my screen shot here, post too short error?) EDIT: I used alt+printscreen to get an image, but when I paste it to the message/editor, it says I have to add a post (in the advanced editor), or I get a post_too_short error in the quick reply part, even with text.. anyone know what that's about?

So far as I can tell, you need to only have completed the basic tier on the 'Mech you want to convert the MXP from.

You only need the basics completed for that variant to convert any extra into GXP.

I have just bought my first mech and been using it (not the trial mechs anymore), but I'm not getting any mechXP. I'm getting GXP, but not an Mech - any idea why, please?

Thanks for all the replies and clarity on this topic

Cheers everyone, now to find a few folks to drop with 8)

Did you go to the Pilot tab and click on the mech that you are using and see if you are building Mech EXP there? I think that is the only place it will show how much you have.

Whoops, my bad. Yes indeed, you only have to have all the basics done for the variant you want to convert MXP to GXP on.

Just confirmed this on my stalker.
