I've scanned through these forums alot, but there are some mechs I see being put down, or never even mentioned. What are some mechs you guys don't think get enough positive attention and deserve it?



I've always like the Avatar, one of the few Inner Sphere omnimechs. A little slow, but well armored and extremely versatile. I like the AV1-OA, AV1-OR, and Prime variants.

Penetrator.
A very nice lyran built 75 ton mech with a mixed laser armament. Almost maxed out armor with standard fusion makes it very durable, it has jump jets, AMS and enough heat sinks to keep most weapons firing without heat problems. Downside is the slow speed for a 3040+ heavy mech, as it can only run 64km/h.
You rarely see it mentioned in the lore (Archer Christifori pilots one, and Kai Allard has one at one point for a single solaris match, but aside from that its never really mentioned) and never in the games.
A PTR-6T is my personal mech in my tabletop command lance and it has served me well for many years now.

Big fan of the Thug. It's in the mw4 mekpak but I first saw it when I was reading through my 3025 readout manual. Strikingly ugly and yet lovely at the same time.

The Cauldron Born from MechWarrior 3, only seen it mentioned once but even the base model is awesome! =D
Probably not the most under appreciated mech, but i love the crap out of it xD
and lucky for me, it comes into service 3049 =D
