Someone remember when we could draw laser paths on the enemies armor?

What this video on 720p on full screen @ 00:25 secs mark. Notice how the visual damage changed on the glowing laser paths on the Hunchback by example:




Watch this new video @ 0:11secs mark. Notice that we can't see incandescent laser scars on Dragon's armor. Just glowing red effect on the whole metal plate area. Different what we see on Closed Beta video.

That second video also highlights the Raven 4X using useless Machine Guns, no wonder the Death Knell's overpowered it

I think it happened when they converted over to CE 3.4... I remember not liking the change. Hope they go back on these things and do a touch-up pass on them
I remember first carving a medium laser into a mech in closed beta and my mouth dropping at the sight of the glowing molten path it etched into the mech. Currently though it's really blotchy looking. Hopefully a more detailed design is put into the High Settings. The blotchiness makes me kinda feel like my Effects slider is on low-med graphics settings.
