As always for the last 4 or 5 patches, everything is worse.
-Lag: Both lagshield and displacement are much worse; I dropped 72 SRMs into the face of a heat-shutdown Commando from ~25m, then he killed me; Ravens run in place then teleport halfway across the screen; I get killed by Atlai from point-blank range, when they weren't there half a second before.
-Crashing: CTD, black screen, and HUD bugs are much more common. The "no HUD after shutdown/startup" bug is much worse, and much more common now that the override shutdown system has gotten the anti-Midas touch (as in, everything the devs touch turns to ****).
-Balance: I continue to think that is is a good idea, and I look forward to seeing any kind of evidence that PGI understands the term.
-New hero mech: Light mech without ECM; that's strikes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.... in fact, that counts as a strikeout for the entire inning. Of course, the problem is less the mech than it is ECM, which brings us to....
- ECM. Do I need to reiterate how badly this system has ****ed the game up? If so, I will just link to any of the hundreds of threads of your customers screaming at you to pull your collective heads out of your ***.
Ever since "open beta," this game has turned into a disaster area. If this were my business, people would have been fired over the last few patches. I have half a dozen friends who don't even want to hear about the game anymore, much less play it. I'm not entirely convinced that you don't need to scrap the entire game system and start over, it's screwed up so badly.

Please, please, PLEASE don't let the same guys who keep screwing everything up work on these problems again.

Yea, that makes it pretty hard to lead, when you don't know when your weapon will actually fire; might be right after you hit the button, might be 2 seconds later; you have to guess!
Or you can use guided weapons. Wait, that doesn't work anymore unless you are carrying ECM. So, just run a mech with guided weapons and ECM.
Congratulations, there are 3 viable choices of mech to run!

But if you are whining and haven't played, then you really have no ground to stand on in my opinion because you simply haven't seen what's actually on the field of play.

Beyond that, I regularly blow up 4 mechs per match in my LRM50 Stalker with Tag. The only time I get my *** handed to me is if I get attacked by a group of ECM mechs up close (<180m).
DHS is also severely nerfed for how much it costs to install.

What u only have 50 on yours? Im running 75 on mine only cause I cant fit 4 20's on it without crawling or not having ammo armor or hs.

Yes we get it, you hate ECM. Most everyone else has adapted to it and the issue is dead, it's been two months, they are not going to take it out, they are not going to roll it back.

I'm thankful for ECM everytime I'm in a match with NO ECM on my team, because in those matches LRM boats dominate everything. And 'just hide' ain't working because they never stop firing and you just sit in your cover waiting for their brawlers to close in and kill you. No thanks, I prefer to go with ECM. That's 'more fun' than LRM-Warrior Online

Look, I can even feel you here, you adopted a playstyle and now it doesn't work. It will happen again and again over the life cycle of this game, as new features are introduced, proven and tested tactics will become obsolete or even a liability. What is valid and solid now won't be three patches from now. Adapt, react, overcome. The game performance allows for it.

Frankly though unless I'm in some weird limbo zone, I see an average of 1-3 ECM's from both teams per match over the past week, which is far from unbalancing.

However, aside from ECM the rest is going really well! It is getting easier to hit small / fast mechs, more in line with where it should be, and I see far less people complaining about 4fps or black / yellow screen bugs.
If you are still running into problems, OP, I highly recommend that you completely uninstall and re-install the game. I have had to do that 3 or 4 times over the course of closed and open beta, as after a few patches my game gets less reliable. A fresh install always seems to fix things up, though, and while annoying it is fairly fast on a modern high-speed ISP.

Whan artemis came out and unbalanced game totaly it took 24h for a balance it's been over 2 month with ecm idiocity.
You could almost thing they wanna sink there own game.

Report card (current patch):
Graphics: B (I love the direction they are going but.. too much monochromatic haze. Im all for adverse visibility and weather but Id rather see more contrast and color)
Art: A (FD and the art team have done a great job reenvisioning the mechs and creating worlds. Looking forward to bigger maps)
Sound: C+ (def gotten better over the last few patches but still lacks immersive environmental sounds. Some weapons sound like cheap canned fx. This is a major issue for me personally. Sound is important and imo game currently sounds flat.)
Gameplay: B (really found more enjoyment since the last patch, feels faster, sharper, less warp)
Mechanics: D (still feels beta-ish in the mechlab and pre/post game screens, no lobby, in game chat and scoring look unfinished, still texture issues on some mechs)
Overall, I really like whats been done so far and the direction PGI is going. Im looking forward to every patch.

It was one of the best times I've had mastering a mech!
I was only been killed by streaks alone once, it was a good group and I over extended badly (Commando and a Raven tore me up with streaks). That happens to anyone though so big woop.
ECM is an interesting item, tag and the new decay modules seem to handle it fine. Like the above LRM user, there are recent videos showing boats doing a metric ton of damage with TAG.
