They have some serious things to overcome with this game, for one in 3025 we had many resets because a couple houses teamed up on one and pushed them into nothingness. they are going to have to balance playability and fun with the macro game, I think every house should have a core area that cannot be taken that provides all mechs and parts that house needs. I do not think a house Mechwarrior should have to pay the same as a merc to repair/refit, but I also believe a merc should be able to buy any unit they want to use with cash, and a house member needs to earn x amount of prestige to unlock x chassis.
The Macro rewards could b something more like, taking planet M provides all members of that house with 10% bonus to experience for a period of 24 hours, if the owner defends it then they get a 15% bonus because of the increased difficulty. Stuff like this.

A scenario is going to come into play where Rasalhague gets conquered by Clan wolf.
Later we have a Smoke Jaguar/Nova Cat invasion of Luthien.
The core areas would be invaded later on matter what.
