Kind of a boring topic, I know...but I am curious. I used the throttle/joystick for a while but I kept going back to keyboard and mouse because it was just more intuitive. After mapping all the keys to the WSAD region and my 7 button mouse I think I had all my bases covered.

If it supports it, the works. Throttle + Joystick + Rudder.

If not then just joystick and throttle.

Keyboard and mouse. Easy to use, and easily the most accurate.

Joystick and Throttle, with a built in rudder to do torso twisting while zipping around. Which is how you kill assaults with mediums. I'm behind you....I'm still behind you...Oh...you poor thing, you're all in pieces.

Mouse and Keyboard. And that face IR tracker thing... I think that will be nice.

Hotas with rudder pedals. Must have very easy to use and self centering torso twist.

laptop keyboard and my 5600 dpi 17 button + scroll wheel naga mouse

ill use the scroll wheen for throttle fine tuneing, left mouse for alpha strike (all weapon groups fire) right mouse for arms only fire, and buttons 1-6 or w/e amount of groups of weapons we can have for breaking up fireing groups for heat and range management. mouse movement will control my aiming reticle, aka looking up and down, and twisting torso. wasd, w will max my throttly to 100%, s will put me into reverse, a and d will turn me left and right respectively. q and e will be look left look right for fireing either arm into the face the the ******* trying to stay behind me.

anything else i need to bind ill figure out once beta hits us.

I got used to the default settings in MW4, but I feel like I need to swap things around if I'm going to be competitive.

For those that aren't familiar, movement is with the Number pad, and I switched my mouse to control torso twist. Also, switched my jump jets to the numpad enter key, so I don't have to do any reaching. Then for acceleration/decceleration I used the mouse wheel.

I just read about the dual targeting system the HUD will have. One reticule for the arms and one for the torso? I am very curious to see how that will work with the mouse setup...I'm thinking left mouse button for arm mounted weapons and right mouse for torso mounted weapons?

Judging from the gameplay videos, it looks like both reticles follow (I assume) the mouse, just with a bit of a slower response time for the torso weapons. But it could also just be that Russ has had practice piloting those mechs and knows how to center both pretty well.

Belongs in Hardware with the rest of the control/joystick threads.

Keyboard and Mouse.
Maybe Head-Track IR 4 or 5 in combination with a silicon micro display ST1080 Head Mounted Display

Going to try:
KB/M
HOTAS X45
Throttle/Mouse

...what works best is best. That's what I'll use.

Joystick all the way. That's what the z-axis twist is for! That or my Game-pad if that works.

I will be testing out K/M as well as J/T. I used to use K/M in MW4:M, but right now I'm playing MW4:M with a joystick since it doesn't support my current mouse selection. :o

If it was single player I'd use a joystick for the experience. However, it's multiplayer and you can't beat the precision of a mouse and keyboard.

I'll be sticking with mouse and keyboard.
