Now for every new player its pretty hard to gather alot information about all the different factions in this universe. After reading a bit in different forums and gather some informations about everything iam still kinda unsure which faction would fit to me.

Everytime i get to this point i find it very helpfull to make this "test".
You will be ask around 10-15 questions or anwser to given statements or example situations and the system tells you what faction's answers you hit the most.

Is this anywhere to find for mwo or the BT-Universe?

I'm not entirely certain. I'm sure someone will find one, however. But as far as game benefits for each house, the logical thing to do is to wait until the Community Warfare aspect of the game comes out. It's on the road-map for the relatively near future, and I imagine by then it'll be much more important to choose a side or a security firm (Merc. Corp).

Either with CW or sometime after its implementation we will be seeing repair and rearm return. Especially if the planets are still planned to have the benefits/drawbacks that were originally implied. (i.e. This planet's known for producing resources, so holding it or taking it over earns you a better paycheck. That planet is known for producing ammunition, so there's no 'shipping' overhead on rearm. This planet houses the company or a factory from the company that manufactures the Cataphract, so as long as you hold it prices on new or repairing your current Cataphracts are cheaper. Etc.)

Whatever the case, I'm hoping we'll be seeing a lot more maps and quite rapidly. Reuse some of the same texture schemes and create different cities, forests, frozen and desert landscapes. We need to churn out maps.

But back to topic, I found some of this stuff:

If you're really into it: The military ranks of each house. Often there's a rank for Mechwarriors who don't own their 'Mech, and ranks for those that do. Just a tidbit of fun.

The first two are long versions but stop short of the current timeline. Further down on that thread I dug up another by the same person that covers up to 3050 and slightly beyond.

Right now picking a faction doesn't really mean anything game-play wise so you have plenty of time to choose
