We're testing balance changes all the time. And we have TT books all over; that doesn't mean we're suddenly making BattleTech Online. We're making MechWarrior Online, and that means we take the TT rules, and change them to what we think works better in an FPS environment.


You can give him gold and he will complain that it is too heavy...

If you call that "working pretty well," I'd hate to see your idea of "buggy."

I've been playing since around the end of November, and I've had MWOClient crash on me 5 times. In each instance, I was closing it anyways, and had to use the task manager to forceclose. I have never once, in ~600 battles, had the game crash while I was playing.

Weapon balance? There is work to be done, no doubt. There is always weapon balance to be done in an online multiplayer game with numerous weapon types. Always. That said, it's certainly not a "sick joke" - the majority of the weapons are pretty usable. With the exception of the MG/Flamer (which are actually useless) and the Large Pulse Laser/ER Laser (very poor due to being just too hot for what they do), everything else is pretty reasonable, when used for the right purposes. Some are more or less efficient, but they don't determine whether or not you'll be successful.

Electronics useless? I strongly disagree. While recently Eliting cat's, I was running C1 and C4 kitties with TAG, LRM's, BAP, and Advanced Sensor Range. Say what you will about those electronics, I was blowing the ever living crap out of people who felt their ECM bubble made them invincible. They made a huge difference. Probably had more kills/damage done over those matches than I have with any other mech loadout to date.

Game modes: I'd like to see more, too. New toys are awesome.

In summary: I can't help but feel your post was chock full of absurd over exaggeration.
