Hi guys I am back again to ask for your critical advice on my Mech. This time we have a catapult-C1

I plan to buy another cat because I like the torso twisting ability.
Next one will be the version without missles. But for now Id just like to see if there are any places to make changes. I guess I could lose the jump jets and maybe spring for artemis?
So guys... please Lend me your wisdom..

I would dump the JJ's and get Artemis.. Pretty much a must imo for any missile boat. Assuming the tag is there for team support (since t does you 0 good) I would flip it out to the lt or rt ad move another laser into the ct. I am not a fan of MPL's, however they can work for some people. I would rather save the tonnage, swap them out for ML's and use it somewhere else.
One version that I enjoy a great deal, is a 3xLL with 2xSRM build. Provides a bit of decent mid-ranged fighting ability and nasty in close punch if a little hot.

Personally I would swap out the Tag and medium pulse lasers for 2 medium lasers and 1 large laser.
Also, you might want to consider putting in an XL300 engine since the Catapult's side torsos are notoriously difficult to hit. The XL300 will give you:
+1 Heatsink
74.8 kph
+ 5 tons of free space
With that free space you could trade another Medium laser for a Large Laser, or put TAG back in.

The tag is there for when there is ecm coverage. Also a lot of people have suggested using tag over Artemis. I chose the medium plus because they seemed to work better for me. My aim is a bit off at times and having to laz a target for long periods of time prove to be ineffective for me. I Do admit I use the jump jets to get away.. I have been able to get away from incoming missling this way. I admit it only worked once though.

I could use the extra speed. Infact I would love it. I just seem to target better with the tag.
I just swapped out the tag for another M.P.L. Removed jumpjets added artemis. Stayed alive the entire round and got myself a kill and 2 assit. Woot!

The K2 has a lot of standard builds including dual ac20's, dual gauss and 4 LL. Personally, I love the A1 with 6 SRM6 with Art.

Max armor (adjust as liked), max STD engine, a good amount of ammo and CASE to protect the engine.

Also, I would try to fit 2 Medium Lasers + 1 Large laser in place of the 3 Medium Pulse, since you're not that fast having a more medium range touch before you close in with SRM's could be handy. Lastly, remove the ammo in the arms (you don't need the explosion risk!), the 4 tons in the legs should be plenty.

First suggestion is a shot in the dark, I don't know your play style but this one has room for versatility
However to keep it close to the original which was not too bad.
Have fun with what ever you choose.

That's my guess. I'd go with something like that based on your starting build. Catapaults have such large center torsos that an XL engine really won't hurt you.

Yes, there are. Which is weird because I coulda sworn that I had 'em in there -- maybe there's something wrong with Smurfy's save algorithm? (Either that or I'm insane)
