How is balancing premades, or splitting premades in their own queue "dumbing down" the game.
The dumbing down of the game is giving a segment of the population an easy mode, while the "hardcore" 8man mode sits completely empty. I would think the "hardcore war simulator" crowd would want the game to have... you know, challenge.
Haha, yeah right.
It dumbs down the game because it takes focus away from team play.
New player A comes in wanders around getting a feel for the controls.
He dies quickly and brutally.
Next match he's got a better feel, runs up to the ridge in Frozen City. Sees 3 'Mechs, takes aim at the Atlas because it's big and scares him, BOOM he dies. Types "WTF?? How did I die so quickly?" in all chat. Premade says "we all called you as a target on TS3".
New guys A asks "What's TS3?". Premade answers that TS3 is a voice communication service that lets them quickly talk to each other which allows them to communicate in the match better.
New guy A asks for address of TS3 download and server address, jumps on, has a better time, learns more quickly, even makes a few friends that could lead to a organized group if he so decides.
New guy B comes in wanders around getting a feel for the controls.
He dies quickly and brutally.

New guy B proceeds to bltch and complain that TS3 is cheating, the game sucks, the matching of the game sucks, there shouldn't be co-ordinated groups playing against him because he's played CoD before and knows how to play a video game and this is no different than WOT blah blah blah blah blah.
Notice a difference?
