I picture him turning around after using loudspeakers to say those lines, and then cranking some battle music on the way to the fight. Class like that pilot is where lance captains come from.

Use the Highlander of Rhonda Snord (http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Rhonda_Snord). He is already fitted for that kind of role :D.

Usually when a teammate shoots me, I turn around and obliterate them, then I get so pumped up I go kill 5-6 enemy mechs.

Really, what else could he have done? There is nothing good that can come from retaliation...whether or not the initial attack was deliberate.

I had a game last night with an obnoxious teamkiller shooting everyone right at the beginning...I just left the game (it was a PUG though). It is so easy to get into another PUG that there is no point in even dealing with it.

So my friend and I were dropping into a match, and my friend was tabbed out of the game. The match starts, and my friend tabs back in, but in doing so he accidentally the whole back of an Atlas. The atlas turns around, and, fearing for our lives, we quickly stutter out our sorries in an attempt to not face immediate atomization. We expected expletives and missiles. Instead:

Atlas: YOU
Atlas: WILL BE MY MEAT SHIELDS.
Atlas: LETS DO THIS.

And we did. An Atlas was escorted by a Dragon and a Centurion that day, and the enemy team had a bad day. It was glorious.

I don't know what the moral of this story is. Maybe try to be a more awesome person to the people who scratch you. Maybe try to turn an accident into better teamwork. It sure as hell worked for us.

It seems to me that the moral of the story is 'use friendly fire at every opportunity, your team will be stronger for it'. Message revived, I shall now go forth and do good deeds in your name :D .

Much nicer reaction then what I got last night when the guy NEXT to me FF an Atlas in the back and the Atlas gave ME a face full of AC10.

Even after the guy who FF said he was sorry, the Atlas was still yelling (chatting in all caps) at me, then gave that guy a shot in the face.

So as he went charging into combat, the other 7 of us decided to play defense. He softened them up nicely for us before he died and we got the win.

I got a good laugh out of this. Can totally picture an Atlas Pointing at each mech and shouting in a deep booming voice. Then turning around with the Cent, and Drag in tow and charging over a hill with LETS DO THIS! Someone needs to turn that whole situation into a comic strip.

Yeah, had a similar episode. Was testing out a new loadout on my dragon. On setting up the weapon groups and toggling weapon cycle key, I accidently hit the alpha strike key instead. Whoops! Fortunately, the stalker I alpha'ed in the back was a good sport and allowed me to live. I ended up protecting his flanks/rear. I helped provide fire support on his targets, and chased a few lights off his back. We still lost, but we both did the most damage on our team, and the stalker still got 3 kills, so hopefully he didn't hate me too much!

Sorry!

The Centurion from OP's post here.

For the record, I instantly apologized after sending an alpha into that Atlas's back.

his response was to draft me into his shield service, Toong (the dragon) tagged along with.

This is what I get for multi-tasking MWO with internet browsing.

This, right here. That's the moral of the story. Also that certain Atlas pilots under-armour their rear torso, apparently.
