It would be great to be able to target a friendly and see their exact damage and weapons, especially when PUGing.

Sure, I can ask in chat, but it is much quicker to just cycle through your entire team that to wait for everyone to reply.

So how would you want to target all friendly mechs? All at once and then cram all the information into one overlay window? Information that you already have if you just LOOK at the mechs and TALK with your teammates.

Please, fill me in on how I can tell that founders cat over there has 3/4 LL vs 4ML & LRM, just by looking?

Again, it is cute that you think pugs actually can get that organized. Even more so that you think wasting the time for EVERYONE to type out their loadout and role is faster than each person who cares, hitting one or two buttons and knowing right away, and being able to act on it.

Even better, this info on no way harms the few people that don't want it, nor does of clog the interface in any way (it would be no different than previous MW games....). Perhaps people just like disagreeing for the hell of it?

it would help alot to be able to target friendlies, i did in all the previous games why wouldnt it help in this game?
especially in pugs because you would be able to see loadouts, so you can quickly identify whos the lrm boat etc etc, which would help alot when aiding team mates.

so for example if you see a team mate getting harassed by a light but you see they are packing lasers they may not need assistance, however if they are packing only lrms you know they are is gonna need help.

and seeing as there is no decent voip on this game i think its a good idea to have this opton

I have to agree Buttmokey.. the lack of voice is a huge issue. Typing out everything in this game can be really annoying, and getting answers from people troublesome otherwise.

Still haven't seen a good excuse for not having the function in this game..

Living Legends has this and I don't see why MWO shouldn't.

Maybe state that as an opinion you agree with. I won't call what you're spewing an excuse but rather an opinion.

I'd rather have all loadout information, friendly and enemy, tied to something such as a module rather than given out freely.

I am not "spewing "anything .. I am calling for functionality that has been in every previous MW game, and even more critical to online gameplay now, to be properly implemented (and not in your bad module idea) ..

Yes, yes you are spewing. It's not an excuse, it's an opinion. One that you disagree with and that's fine. Still spewing the excuse line.

I think it's an ok idea. What it does is give pilots a choice when dropping. Do they want to include the enemy loadout module or the base cap module? Could add an extra bit of thought to loadouts when configuring a mech.

I discuss for the sake of making this game a game I'd love to play. Not sorry about it.

How about we discuss what you don't like about my idea? Is it simply due to the fact that it's been in other games so it has to be in this one? Why not make a game harder, a little more thoughtful.

Target friendly was an option in every previous MW game and was a very important part of knowing what your team has.

On top of this, on the loading screen, it should show something, like in a pre-game lobby, of everyone's equipped 'mech and equipment. Think LoL-style or a private WoT game for that.

Bottom line is when we don't have the information before the match, during the match, and after the match (would be great to know what your opponents were packing, though I guess I can see why THAT might not be transparent), we can't make the most informed decisions, and any battlefield commander will want to know the status of every unit involved in the operation.

That means I should be able to target a friendly and see what weapon he just lost when his arm was removed. See if that Catapult next to me is LRMs, or SRMs, or using his torso energy hardpoints to house LPLs. It's important. How are we expected to work with one another when we do not even know each other's strengths and weaknesses?
