i already got hunchback and cataphract elited, yeah thats epic "projects" did it in 1 week.. did that take 1 year for you? LOL!!!!

first of all i don't think this game has been around for a whole year, that i know of.
second i have Mastered 1 mech and trying to master the 2nd one, eliting is a lot easier

when you have mastered your mechs there will be new ones added by the devs and modules, you never even mentioned in your original post that you were working on the elite unlocks, so what am i supposed to think

next time include any relevant info

So what do you tell someone who has three master'd and optimized (endo dhs etc) variants of all but 4 of the available chassis, has all modules unlocked and at least one of each purchased?

At the rate they are releasing new modules and mechs, I will have nothing left to grind on. This is the point (I think) op is trying to make, and though I may be way ahead of a large number of you, it wont take long for someone with a tiny amount of dedication to catch up. The ETA on CW is further away than the time from OB to now and very soon those of us with nothing to grind will start adding up...

I dont even care about grinding more. I just want excess XP to get converted to cbills.

IMHO the grind can't simply be modules due to the long time between reward for the grind. Think about the 10,000 GXP modules. At 5% build rate on GXP that is 200,000 XP earned to get the GXP needed. Even if you get a perfect record and get 1000 XP a match, that is 200 matches. i am currently averaging ~650 XP per match so it would take me 307 matches to earn the GXP for one 10,000 GXP module. That is a week or probably more of effort!

We need to be grinding for multiple things at the same time with the master grind being the GXP for modules. I would think part of the solution will be the achievement system when it is introduced. Think about the incremental grind for dozens if not hundreds of potential achievements. Everything from win 100 matches to win 100 matches in a hunch to win 10 matches in each weight class. They can also have achievements like modules blow up, legs removed, damage done, bases capped and the list goes on and on. These type of achievements will allow for some type of reward periodically not just after very long periods of the grind

Not a big fan of long grinds. I do agree unless it is a C-bill bonus mech, once mastered, I do not use that mech anymore. There should be some kind of bonus for fighting in a mastered mech, maybe 5% exp or C-bill bonus?

I quit WoT because of the stupid grind.

You had to have no life to play that game to unlock things in any reasonable amount of time.

You want something that takes 9 months to unlock? That's just stupid.

If you are grinding that means you probably aren't having fun. Do you really need some artificial cheese goals to work for? Can't you just play the game and enjoy without playing the part of a rat looking for cheese? Maybe we should have to kill 5000 orcs for a medium laser to make these rats happy?

No it is the purpose of your constant dropping. Just like in WoW you had to grind to get money and gear. Most of us don't have practice 7 days a week so why are you getting on each night. Normally you are grinding/working toward a longer term goal

You have 13 chassis to master, thats 39 mechs + the modules to unlock

Thats enough of a grind for myself.

And there will be achievments soon.

I know, it may sound obserd. But, some people enjoy "Chasing the Carrot on a stick". It gives them a constant sence of progress.

I play just because I enjoy playing the game. I don't need a grind to feel like I am making progress. I prefer, becoming the best player I can be at a game, to be a long term goal. It's the reason I continue to play First Person Shooters and Fighting games after everything is unlocked.

Working towards a long term goal. How about, raising your stats by getting better at the game.
