Bad players should have Zero input on what is balanced They don't know how to use said mech and weapon. The Good players are the ones able to make decisions like this not lowly baddies who just play for fun.

I like that they have it nailed in WoT. Bad players and Clans have Zero input on how thing operate. That is how it should work here. There should be a group of highly skilled players that have good commutation access to PGI. To tell them what needs fixing if at all. If the Baddies have anything close to that the game will be ruined by the everyone wins crowed. **PUKE!!***

An interesting idea and given the amount of utterly silly suggestions on the forums, I am inclined to agree. Just out of curiosity, how exactly do they have it nailed in WoT (i.e. what stats are being used)?

There is a fine shade of grey between a good and a bad player.

No, not really sir. To use LoL as an example...anyone below 1000 is bad, and anyone below 800 is abysmal. 1200 is average...and trust me, you can certainly tell a 1200 player from an 800 player.

Cant wait till the system is implemented here tbh.

You have more than 100 posts, which means that your input is invalid.

Fools have the right to speak regardless of whether they are right or wrong. They can give their input like anyone else but that doesn't mean PGI (or anyone for that matter) needs to listen.

On a different note even fools have good ideas once in a while.

Devs should consider everyone's input, it's only fair. OP/Broken items are easily found, because people tend to gravitate towards/away from them. (Think ECM (Already nerfed from what I've seen) or PPC's (Semi broken: High risk low reward) as of

and so LRMs would be considered low risk high reward.

I chuckled a little when I saw the thread title. I laughed my butt off when I realized the OP seems to be serious.

Good stats=Good Player

Bad Stats=Bad Player. Quite simple really.

May I play devil's advocate here?
Another issue I see here is this: I know that I am hardly the best player of Mechwarrior Online. I came here from Mechwarrior 4 and currently have a k/d ratio around 0.5. What is to stop me from creating a new account without the poor statistics and take the knowledge from my rocky start and apply it to a blank slate?

God help the stat whores if Phase three actually works and premade teams are queued against each other evenly .

If you have a Unicrum win rate you should have a large say in input.

It was a slight typo.

That is not completely true. The stats they have now do not tell the entire story. They do not track damage done and assists. They do add them up at the end of each match but they get lost in the cosmos. You look at my stats and you would say I totally suck. With a .67 k/d ratio, yes I do get killed more than I kill, but I do a lot of damage to a lot of different mechs. I pretty much only pug. I have only played like 400 matches because I work and play other games.

Getting kills is not the end all be all of this style of game, nor should it be. For example, light pilots should not have hardly any kills if they play the scout / recon role like they should be doing. Perhaps you should think of another qualification of who should be heard and not heard.

Man, I have 0.5 K/D.

My account should be automatically deleted.

I know, man, we should have taken advantage of the LRM bug and used all those super-cheese builds when they dominated the field.

At this rate, our accounts will be deleted, the server they were housed on burnt, the ashes gathered together and re-burnt, and the leftover scraps shot into the sun!

Flame bait thread is flame bait.

Correct. Or at least with Artemis IV equipped.

I have a 0.29 kill death ratio (56 / 190) ish last time it was updated. by the OP's logic, i wonder if i would be a good or bad player.

what the stats don't take into account are the amount of kill assists i have. or the amount of damage i put out, or how often i have helped or saved my teamates. i like support rolls and don't always get the kills, nor are stats such as kill/death the only tell tale of a good player.

i consider myself a decent player, who has good and bad days. if i notice a glitch in the game, lots of texture pops, a specific mech that 95% of the time anhialiates myself and my teamates and or the other way around in an overpowered manner, as a member of this community; i have the right to be able to contact PGI and inform them of the problems, or my opinions.

I may not automatically consider you a bad with those stats, but clearly something is holding you back:

A- Play skill

B- Your system isnt strong enough to run MWO

C-Your ping is awful

If B or C is true or a combination, your A will be seriously compromised.

My stats are quite good, I average about 3.5 Kill Death Ratio.

Mine's at 1.36, It goes up when I pilot mechs I'm familiar with (like my atlas) down when I pilot new mechs (like my centrurion) and up a lot when I pilot a cheese build (like a AC20 cat). Doesn't tell you if I'm skilled or not.

Just that I have killed more than I have died, which a killstealing ninja raven can do.
