I may not automatically consider you a bad with those stats, but clearly something is holding you back:

A- Play skill

B- Your system isnt strong enough to run MWO

C-Your ping is awful

If B or C is true or a combination, your A will be seriously compromised.

as an aussie it's C first then B when there's 6+ mechs infront of me killing framerates.

A? well yeah i ran an awesome for 2 months and had 0.36 but now in a week of stalker it's .54

it also takes time to find your playstyle rhythm too.

And even if we could tell 100% who the good and bad players are. Having a single group be the only ones listened to will make the game favor them.

Since after all it's human nature to do what you feel benefits you, no matter what it is.

Love how "only good players should have a voice", OP will always include himself in that group...Typical child behavior.

i miss my shadowcat from previous games, so part of the reason i will admit is i'm trying to find a mech i'm really comfortable with, as well as a loadout i enjoy the most.

also i don't play often as i'd like so i will never admit i'm more than decent or compitant

a good support brawler. I liked getting behind them causing disruption, taking some hits and dishing it out before returning to my friendlies.

for the most part i've been sticking to hunchies, and experimenting with the other classes. had a dragon for a bit but could not find a good loadout that satisfied me.

If you wish to make a suggestion to the game staff, you can post a constructive posting in the Suggestions section of the forums. The general discussion section is for discussing the Game, itself, and not particularly for telling the Developers what player groups they should/should not be listening to for input.

However, given the nature of this thread, it's likely to cause problems. Outright telling the whole gaming population that low-skill players should have zero input in the game development can be considered a "slap-in-the-face" and not really a friendly idea you're just throwing out there.

There is little chance that this thread will exist without generating significant breaches of the Code of Conduct...

So, if you must discuss, please do so nicely

Im sorry, could you put that in the form of a meme?

Maybe a cicada? It's a nice nimble mech with decent armor for it's speed. No variants with missiles but the 3m has 4 lasers and 1 ballistic. It is on the lighter side of the medium pool so you won't be sporting the big guns but I've found AC5s and a few lasers can do a quick hit and run punch rather nicely.

If you want sommething a little heavier the centurions may help you out, but they are a medium version of the dragon.

A catapault may be ok also with SRMs and lasers (depending on varient) but you won't be sneaking behind the lines too often.

Good stats=Good Player

Bad Stats=Bad Player. Quite simple really.

If you have a Unicrum win rate you should have a large say in input.

It was a slight typo.

Im not sure if I'm falling for a troll or what..but huh? My stats are pretty crappy, yet usually I am up near the top in damage, kills and assists for my team. But..I PUG exclusively, which means I'm gonna be on the team that gets rolled often by premades. Does that make me a bad player? I bet I'd give you a run for you money one vs one any day of the week.

And..just FYI, bad players get better by playing and learning. Penalizing them for being new or learning is really stupid.

Plus...what others have said. Stats can be inflated by rolling premade and riding on your team's coat tails or picking on newbs in trial mechs all day.

So if you are a troll, good job. If not..ugh!

Wait, hold on a second, don't human being have free will? So, if someone, good or bad, makes a bad suggestion, the devs (And the community) are free to ignore it?

Or is every suggestion post a forced implementation?

I'm confused...

Its not a shade of grey at all. In fact it looks like this:

Bad Player
~One who whines on the forums

________________________________________________

Good Player
~One who has fun in game

Haven't been accused of aimbotting yet. Though I have been accused of premading when I was solo. A buddy of mine was accused of exploiting after his second day of playing though. Two days of playing and he's tearing PUGer's up solo enough to be accused of such. Same guy did get Khan/General rank in the second game of MWLL he played too which was pretty funny.

Some people can MechWarrior it up right off the bat. But many can't seem to do that for some reason, or rather they refuse to.

Dear OP, i am only a Mediocore Player in the Name of my Stats.
I am allowed to speak up because i have noticed something about the Stats that may ruin your theory?

What i have noticed is that PGI wants to implement the different roles of every Mech Chassi, but i noticed that when i am driving a Light Mech, my Stats suffer from it, and are getting worse, so that my Speaking allowance would be worse when i drive Medium and Light Mechs. Of course it is my Bad that i drive Inferior Chassis which would cancel my Speaking Right in the Forum, but doesn't make it a good player to know all Chassis?
Following your logic my Voice would have more Weight when i drive only Heavy and Assault Chassis and best of all when i
work as lone Wolf, because then i get more Kills, more Damage etc... So if i DO everything what PGI NOT want me to do.
(Stomping others, Sync Dropping, Killstealing, Egoistic Playing, only Playing D-DC Mechs etc)
My voice is more worth in your Opinion.

There may be a Flaw. But i think my Stats are NOW just to low to Speak up anymore.

Have a nice Day, i hope your E-Peen is now big enough to compensate other Flaws in your live.
(btw my WoT stats are bad, as i don't have lot of High Tier stuff, but the more Heavy stuff i drove the better they got, and THATS the real Problem same as here: Bigger Mech = Better Stats but No Fun)

what is a bad player, vs a good player?
am i a good or bad player if i do not outfit my mech as a "boat" and try to play tactically
or would i be a good or bad player if i went for the most efficient way...load up 6ppcs or 2ac20 or 6srm6 and go for it

so do i have a right to talk about balancing?
don't know
probably everybody has the right to voice his/her concerns...but that's just some liberal/hippy theory

So true, just running my Atlai this week I've raised my KD ratio from 1.0 to 1.09 and 80+ kills in the positive. Went from Basic (D-DC and RS just bought them last Monday (pretty sure - might have been yesterday) - already had extra 21.5K+ XP founders D from last weekend grinding for c-bill to buy other 2 Atlai) to complete all Elite Skills D-DC and working on the RS, probably do it tomorrow... hour or 2 max.

View PostHelbourne, on 30 January 2013 - 09:41 PM, said:

That is not completely true. The stats they have now do not tell the entire story. They do not track damage done and assists. They do add them up at the end of each match but they get lost in the cosmos. You look at my stats and you would say I totally suck. With a .67 k/d ratio, yes I do get killed more than I kill, but I do a lot of damage to a lot of different mechs. I pretty much only pug. I have only played like 400 matches because I work and play other games.

Getting kills is not the end all be all of this style of game, nor should it be. For example, light pilots should not have hardly any kills if they play the scout / recon role like they should be doing. Perhaps you should think of another qualification of who should be heard and not heard.

I agree fully that until they track all the STATS your claims of "LEET" status is like so much manure at a dairy farm. Also with actual role warfare if and when implemented it will be a matter of what you do to get someone killed more than actually doing the killing (though that is fun too).

I'm lucky to keep a 1.0 KD ratio in my Jenner since implementation of ECM and recently improved hit detection... I'll run ECM in my other 2 lights (Spider and Commando), but use all with Direct Fire Weapons in my Commando (I won't pad my stats in ECM Streak Boats). In my Jenner and Spider I generally average around 300-400 points of damage against any class of mech per match... unless of course I get ganked by a cheese build (Streak Raven or Commando) early or someone gets a good shot on me. I rarely get killed by LRM fire and I've been known to occasionally leg myself jumping all over the map to avoid fire.

I play my lights as harassers and spotters (TAG on Jenner and Spider, ML on Commando) so I'm getting kills mostly from harassing them to death and as a result of team work.

Also I PUG and I Love to respond to troll posts too. ;) :D  :D

IMO, its a big mistake to put the numbers-screen--->stats - at the end of each battle. The small minded get giddy over the numbers, completely lost.

Yeah, and good players drive easy cheesy builds, never ever dare to PUG, have a second account, big ego and sorry character...SKILL has nothing to do with it. Good players stand right infront of the primary, snuggling, to get the weapon of choice in, why ever bother to aim?
Comon get real!

To game the game isn't what we are here for.

And we need a recruitment- test for everyone who wants to start a topic.

You cant be serious. Until a few weeks ago you could DC before you got killed and got no death on your stats. Stats are meaningless unless you have an account only for 8v8.
