Hey everyone, look how many fancy words he learned reading the description of his video card.

Hey everyone, look how he can't make an actual rebuttal, so he has to start making ad hominem attacks!

As someone who mods and is a 3D hobbiest the least these uber gods of the 3D world could do is show us of a video of their bad assery so those who aspire to be more can learn.

I know of all the people I have worked for and followed in professional forums like cgtalk that a lot of work takes TIME, 5 hours to complete a fully functional game assest that looks good, trolled!

They are what ?

What is it good for ? :P

Thats a wild speculations, right  Why are all the great things not released, if they already been secretly finished (for years I guess, if I follow our original time-content estimation).

Btw "we" ? Are you one of the developers ?

The pub-estimate I explained above is very rough, indeed. You can double it if you want though, and it will still be 90 man-days, compared to 3 years of supposed work of x member profi team ;)

Where did you ge that information ? (and certainty) :)
I would personaly guess its your wild dreams ? ;)

If you'll secure commercial rights to Mechwarrior franchise, why not. Actually (ok it was after few glasses of wine / beer ;)) the guys started to plan they'll make theyr own online mech game ;), since they like and lack any good one.

If that would actually happen, I only fear I'll have to be the one designing all 100 and 10 mechs for theyr new franchise ;)) (since acquiring Battletech one would be though nut ;))

You are liitle more than a pathetic entry level troll. go back under your bridge fool.

5 hours is barely enough time to get started on a model, and 2 days isn't much of an improvement - much less the rigging, UV Mapping, texturing, animating, concept art, stat design, interior and UI assets, testing, incidental code and dynamic model alterations, damage models and texture work, etc. etc.

In my experience, people tend to low-ball the time it takes to do this sort of thing (a lot). It would seem you and your friend have low-balled a little far :P

All of it's quite funny compared to claims of MWO publishers that they worked on the game since March 2009 (?), which is roughly 3 years ! or 900 work days, and that they have highely skilled team of 50 people .. working on MWO(?) :P

The IGP itself, the guys who pay PGI for work were assembled in ~the November of 2011.

Unless you think they have money growing on trees in Montreal, there is no way they could be doing the game for 3 years.

I once made a shark in blender following a tutorial it took about 3 hours.

It was ugly, very ugly.

KharnZor, while I would agree his trolling is weak, don't get into name calling with him. It will only serve to get this thread deleted. I'm all for having it locked because even though I don't know a lick about programming and netcoding and 3D modeling, I know he's talking smack. Guys, don't get suckered into getting nasty with him. It will only cause this thread to be deleted and removed from the forums here.

I for one WANT this thread to be locked, but to remain for all to see so when we get another pathetic attempt for a troll saying that they could do a better job than the DEV's or that the DEV's are doing a terrible job, they better back it up with evidence and hard facts, not halfwit trollery. AND we can USE this thread for future post replies so that people can understand the work it took to go into MW:O.

7/10

You brought out a good amount of rage and a few tears... but you get extra points for making a troll thread last 7 pages and counting.

Why every second fanboy here thinks that I'll jump up and spend 2 days on unpayd work just to convince him :P You people are just hilarious.

Especially since I don't think you would be able to come up with anything remotely close to the models used in MWO in two days.

Maybe I'll actually do it, for thrills and fun of it. Making a mech model like the ones in MWO is not that hard. dispite of what most people here think (since they never even seen a game editor, let alone made anything in it or in 3d Max)

Just out of curiosity, have you actually ever made a 3D model and then rigged it up and animated it in a 3D game?

I mean, one thing that most folks actually agree on, is that the models and animations in MWO are actually pretty damn well done. They look good. Their animations are very well done.

The assertions that you are making here make you come off as kind of silly.

You mean back when they used paper? I remember those good old days when your hand cramped from writing a 2-3 page essay on the mating habits of porcupines under the influence of psychotropic narcotics.

Whatever else may be wrong with the game it's certainly not the mechs. I think they look better than the originals, which was not difficult with some of them. I think FD may even be able to achieve the impossible and make the Ost series look good. They also move well.
Despite the trolling this thread has been more fun than most.

Actually I would say he's a pretty skilled troll, although personally I'm not a fan of trolls that insult or degrade hardworking men and women like the devs. Personally I thinks its better to troll the fanboys (like myself), hey we have to be able to laugh at ourselves sometimes, it keeps us from getting too fanatical :P .

If you can hammer out a triple A product in 120 days, go kickstart it.

I'd pay for something in between waiting for Star Citizen if you can deliver.
