Or hell, even in your "conservative" estimation of 2 days.
Go for it. I eagerly await your results. Since it's such a short period of time, I suspect you could invest that effort just for the sake of argument.

Maybe I'll actually do it, for thrills and fun of it. Making a mech model like the ones in MWO is not that hard. dispite of what most people here think (since they never even seen a game editor, let alone made anything in it or in 3d Max)

Well in most countries a working day is 8 hours + lunch time. Some 10 hours.
So there are still 14-16 hours for sleep and looking into forums of my favorite game atm.
Besides that, there are thousands and thousands of people registered in this forum, even if it is a low percentage who work in game media business or have experience with it (I'm a motion graphics designer and visual fx artist for movies, working in large companies with the most skilled 3D artists in the world) there are enough of us here to talk about it and have a conversation
I'm not saying what the OP is saying is true, he is a complete troll.
But Bryans numbers are too high for my taste, meaning too slow (for maps, not the rest, I'm fine with the mechs).
I think the only thing they are lacking are stricter deadlines.

Yeah, sorry if I don't believe a word of it.
I'm no expert, but I've done some modelling and animation work.
One mech in 2 days? Including the multiple iterations and various testing required? In a typical game studio pipeline?
Yeah..... no. Sorry.

If you were at least a beginner (game) programmer, you would know, that:
animation of water, trees, grass - are all very simple effects created in code with very simple "vertex shader". Also sayd shader is included in any licensed engine for decades. (and surely was in stock C3)
smoke - is a "particle effect" made by "particle engine" and same applyes to it as for the vertex shader. All the level smoke/flame effects you see in MWO are most likely a part of default fx library in C3. No work for any devs at all.
Please, do not smartass if you dont know what you are taking about. Same goes for that "remodeling" guy btw

On the other hand, maybe some of you will learn something about real game development among the trolling.

OK...I've been polite. However, you are right now at this point making a very POOR attempt at trolling not only the people here but are being very disrespectful. We're trying to attempt to tell you that you are wrong. And what's worse is that Bryan came on here to inform you of how WRONG you indeed are. But you can't seem to take a hint or listen to the rest of us as we've tried to explain how you've missed a TON of stuff that you probably didn't even consider to take into account for this game to be developed.
At this point you are I believe trying to just now post stupid stuff just to enrage people here. I'm asking the moderators here when they read this NOT to DELETE this thread or make it unseeable, but at this point, you've been told now how the developers have had teams that not only model a mech, but test it to make sure it interacts properly with the game and it doesn't provide memory leaks.
CASE IN POINT: When they came out with the Commando, there was a part of the code on it causing a memory leak when they released it in the game. It caused any game that had a Commando in it to cause the match to have such a massive run-off in memory that it cause many players who played with them to crash and drop from the game. Added to the fact that this is also when they discovered that having a mech move faster than the 140 kph barrier to also cause problems in the game. Since you are not a Founder, my guess is that you have no idea of this that it happened back when they released the Commando back last summer in the early stages of Closed BETA.
The point being is that what you THINK is 60 hours of straight coding took tons of mistakes and coding trial and error to discover this along with the BETA crew to help lock down this problem for this one thing. Now imagine ALL of the other things they had to discover via trial and error along with the help of the BETA crew.
Riva, you are doing yourself a disservice here. Stop while you are ahead. And this is coming from a guy who doesn't know a lick of how to code or database or program stuff. This is coming from a guy however who can recognize COMMON SENSE.
For the MODS, please do not delete this thread. We would like this thread to stay up so people can know how hard the DEV's have been working to get this stuff put in and the effort it takes to make it work.

Its not often the devs walk and talk with mere mortals.
Its like Zeus came down and said, "Yo, this is how electricity works!" And all you have to say is, "Dude, you just stepped in a dog ****."

Don't know who your talking about... mere mortals... Hah! I was GOD in my 6th grade Christmas play!

But it was nice to see the DEVs on their forum for a minute!
