Cannon - a mounted piece of artillery (which includes anit-aircraft artillery systems), specifically in a weapons' context:

canon - of rules, principles, or standards accepted as axiomatic and universally binding in a field of study or art.

when talking about points concerning the history and background of BT, use canon. For a weapons, like an AC20, use cannon.

Use the proper word in the correct context. Otherwise, you're doing it wrong. Yes, we know what you mean when you state "cannon" for "canon", it does not make you smarter in our eyes and, in fact, using the wrong word diminishes the veracity of your point of view.

Like all you guys who continue to use the term "clan" for team/group/etc when you are not using it in context with Battletech Clans. The use of the term "clan" for gamers started out with MW video games anyway, so stop using it unless you are talking about one of the 20 BT Clans. And yes, everyone knows what you mean, but it does not make you right. Like Clan Snow Wolf, you guys are not Canon. Your best option is to portray a sub-element of one of the various and "canon" correct Clan Wolf groups.

My Clan is Clan Snow Wolf, we were a detachment from the 9th Wolf Guard Striker Cluster, during the impending Clan Invasion we disagreed with the thought of needing to crush the Inner Sphere completely to rebuild it and due to our Warden/Crusader mindset we decided to abstain from the fight deciding it was not our fight. We moved along side other splinter groups who coalesced into Clan Wolf in Exile (soon to be). Our clan took refuge on the nearby planet of Wroclaw and have been training and living here peacefully ever since. We have remained in silence watching the fight in the Inner Sphere for some time now and will continue to defend our decision to honorably abstain from a fight which was not ours to fight. Thank you Gremlich. This is actually what we intend to do we just haven't gotten that far in crafting our lore yet. We will post more of our story and the specifics of what unit we are a sub-element of.

and you could still call yourself the 281st Snow Wolf trinary/binary or some such and be Clan Wolf. The canon is not THAT fleshed out and you could make it that much richer.

Yes. I'm pretty sure that since the game takes place in 3050 we will fly the wolf banner in game. At least I will.

Law you have no idea what you speak of. i left due to the BS politics and drama that i was tired of. i was jag for dam near 10 years and fought for and held just about every rank in the dam clan. unlike you you has just become a jag only a few months ago.i left the Jag due to personal reasons & interest, i left the TDMC cuz after the first 2 weeks just about every one in it wasn't playing MWO any more they were all on other games. while i was there almost every day like always. so i did NOT leave them for a group that was more active i left for a group that played at all and well i already had friends in the JWs so thats were i went.

so i say again you do not know what you are speaking of, and in doing this you are only making a fool of your self.

I can understand being upset, however there are some things that are beyond uncalled for, and calling a jaguar a dog is one of those things. You disgrace yourself and disgrace your clan name posting such drivel here in our forum so perhaps you can kindly **** up a rope before Law Dog goes off the deep end.. the results might not be pleasant. Aside from that, everyone needs to stop sh!tting on this guy's thread over personal issues. My post was simply in pointing out the flawed logic the OP was using, not for everyone else to start a flame war here. If they stay, they stay. If they don't, they don't. To those who don't like it, deal with it.
