The console mentality is more fitting on the premades. They want it easy.
You realize this argument works for the PUGs who want to separate from teams right? The logic is the same. Remove the tough opponents so we can win more!

Casual can mean many things. Like not being interested in interacting with the lore nerds or worse.
Interesting, I thought Casual meant that you weren't interested in playing as a competitive level player. I'm not saying you are wrong, in fact I am proving your point ;)

Quote

I don't think its bad to fill in as long as there is premades on both sides really and I am sure many of us filler players will outperform lots of the premades players. Most of the premade players are not good enough for the 8 man que you know.

What about you?
I'm in agreement with you on this. 4+4 should drop against 4+4. I have a .333 average in 8 man... which is not bad.

We don't have the 12 man here yet so we don't know how that will be.
But your attitude takes all teh fun out of speculative QQing! :)

Tell you what. I'll drop in 4 man groups today and all of us will use HALF the heat sinks we normally would.

We'll enforce a handicap on ourselves so we can feel what it's like to lack the understanding of how to make a balanced mech....OH and I'll pilot in the dark so I have to fumble around for my keys. My mech will stumble around into buildings and look like I'm drunk....like so many of your mechs that move as graceful as a legless figure skater on meth.

So now casuals are afraid to go onto TS because they MAY encounter lore nerds or unwanted players?

Seriously, just...stop. Just stop with the excuses. That's all I hear regarding people not wanting to put a small amount of effort into improving their gaming experience drastically.

There's no helping some people. They are just miserable id iots.

P.S More people are playing 8-Man groups since they changed it. It took a while, but it's more populated.

OK I'll be honest with you. We simply don't like the premade kind of players and because gaming is done for fun and general enjoyment we don't want to mix in with them. Its like stepping on dogcrap. Better avoid that.

It is not that much about being disorganized. Bad pug players will have trouble with actually hitting stuff.

I am pulling my weight. Of that I am sure. Looking out for flanks and mostly don't mess up. But much too jaded now to take command or anything like that.

I don't see all these horrid disorganized teams when I play. You cannot get people to focus fire when they have problem hitting targets right in front of them. People running off on their own is not happening all the time either.

You my friend, have hit a very true point, one I share in agreement and pain with you.

This does not change the fact that, despite being bad shots, organizing them to focus fire, follow a strat, and keep organized dramatically increases that team's chance of winning.

That we'll run into the occasional group that can't shoot the broad side of a barn is both true and unfortunate. Regretably, those are the breaks sometimes (as crappy as that sounds, and pardon me for even bringing it up). Eventually, though, some (if not most/all) of those player will improve .... (hopefully :) ;) )

Then please explain why I could take any of the dozens of players I run premades with and show you a wall of screenshots of their scores as solo pugs blowing the rest of their team out of the water?

When I pug and lose I frequently see my name up near the top mixed in with the winners because I out score members of the winning team while being on the losing team.

Bottom line is can only solo pug for so long before my threshold for ineptatude and idocy is reached. You pugs are truely aweful players yet somehow you feel entitled to beat better players..why? because why? please tell me why it is that craptastic players have this entitlement?

I hear the puggies blather on about how premades telling them to join a team is forcing them to play the premades way and not your way.

Well guess what partner...If you think that building a house with a rock and a pair of scissors is the right way to do it and you see a construction crew build dozens of perfect houses around your one shanty shack of crap you have been doing it wrong.

Is it the construction crew's fault? No it's yours for thinking you alone with a rock and a pair of scissors can build a house better than a construction crew can.

Your way isn't working pal..that is probably why we all have to listen to you all cry about it every ******** day on these forums.

So instead of adapting your way to a way that works you instead insist that we all have to try to build crappy shacks with rocks as hammers and scissors for saws.

You are in fact telling all those premade players who are succeeding where you fail that they must do it your way.

The wrong way.

I don't usually pug. but I do find it more challenging than playing in 4 man premades.

Protip most players in general are crap.

They can't aim worth a damn.

They have no spacial awareness.

They have no situational awareness.

They don't even know how to build their mechs effectively.

Players in premades usually slightly above the average in terms of player skill (The average is baaaad)

Most people seem to have this crazy idea that this game isn't about twitch reflexes (They are wrong)

You are using a third party program to shore up the in game inadequacies.

The game SHOULD have voice properly integrated. that is to say SEAMLESSLY.

You are the perfect example of a slathering loon who doesn't read what the other person is even saying and forming a straw man to attack.

Pug players make up a greater percentage why are so many people against imputting proper communication tools?

And yes typing in the middle of a brawl with 1+ enemy mechs on my screen is impossible.

I have an advanced touch typing certificate and can manage 105 WPM that isn't enough to allow me to type in the middle of a fight with out it hugely negatively effecting my performance.

Voice comms are the only way to give information seamlessly with out it destroying your ability to pilot at that moment.

You obviously agree with the above point or you wouldn't be using third party voice comms you giant hypocrite.

you act like team speak isn't a hugely unfair advantage to majority of players who have never visited the forums and thus dont know about third party team speak servers.
Your right I don't think it is unfair. How many MMOs use Comms? Don't answer that. How many MMO players use 3rd party Coms? I know my daughter and her friends were using a 3rd party Voice service them 5-7 years ago when they were playing some western shooter MMO! So if you MMO game on line at all you know there are 3rd party servers.

I'm surprised people like that find the courage and willpower to make it out the door everyday. BAD people everywhere, I may as well just stay home, spoon butter into my mouth and watch Judge Judy. Wait...that's no laughing matter. People do that.

Then band together with 3 other PUGs you like and then join a server. Then you won't BE with the Ashat Premade players.

FACT: The time and energy they would have to put into getting integrated voice is better served in other aspects of the game since 3rd party software is in abundance and EASY to download and use.

Like seriously....you gamer rats have never had it so easy to communicate and play games together and here we are arguing about how we shouldn't be playing with our friends. haha!

I really don't think people are saying they don't want it in game. They are just saying while it's currently not in game, to go find a program to use in the meantime. Does it give an advantage? Of course. Now use it until the announced system is in place. And if you don't have the patience to wait, we'll see more posts on this topic. Which means we'll see more posts on this topic.

I do a lot of pugging, as well as 4 man and 8 man drops. Pugging is totally hit or miss. I get in pug groups that have a lot of text chat, and I know we will at least be competitive. Then there are the ones who don't communicate at all, no matter how much I do. Or the ones that just throw insults and say they know what to do, and we get rolled 8-0. They really need to put voicechat ingame so you have that option in every single game, but I still think a lot of puggers are their own worst enemies. I hope that ELO will at least be a step towards fixing that, as the horrible players will end up playing each other.

I love how much you guys twist and turn to justify a status quo which only benefits yourself.

truly you are the epitome of the selfish ***.

seamlessly integrated voice comms should be considered the STANDARD normal method of communication in a game like this.

If games from the 90s had integrated voice comms there is absolutely no reason this should be acceptable.

As for worrying about other high priority things being implemented there really isn't anything higher in priority than making sure the core of your game works well.

communication in a TEAM based game should be at the very top of that priority list.

Unless you don't believe this is a team based game?

This game need lots of time and energy on so many parts of the game.

One of the points with stopping the pug-stomps is that the game need new players more than it need to keep the old players. It need new satisfied customers and you don't get that from garbage matchmaking.

Hopefully phase 3 will be here next week and things will improve. If it manages to get 1 premade on each side + some balance with the filler pubs, it may be good enough.

I would rather there be PUG stomps than failed matchmaking.

PUG stomping is down from before. There will always be a way to engage newbs with pew pew.

Best to crusade about something else.

Even if they make it so only solo people are paired in groups together, people will THEN whine about Veterans joining up with their pimped out mechs and stomping them.

This is a tiresome cyclical topic.

the thing I find most amusing is all the straw manning in this thread accusing me of being a horrendously bad pug player.

I'm not i do a large mix of pugging 4 manning and 8 manning.

of the lot 4 manning is the least satisfying because rolling pugs with a 4 man is disgustingly easy.

even soloing in the pug queue i've had matches where i've rolled the entire enemy team doing 1500 damage getting 7-8 kills.

Pugs desperately need better communication tools.

it should be one of the top priorities right now.

Retaining new players needs to be at the top of their list right.

*Although tbh I would love to get some actual new maps that aren't just a reskin.*

qft

Most of the premades will fear it... and the 99% of the pug players will enjoy it.
If they realy will match premades vs premades ( 4vs4 + 4 pugs + 4 pugs ) i will be surprised how the MM will handle the different tonnage loadouts of the teams.

But since all the fanboys believe MW:O is played by so many people.. i guess that won´t be a problem :)
We will see ;)

if the premaders behave like they did with 8 man queue when elo gets introduced it will go like this

"Waaahhh I hate losing" *quits game*

because there wont be an easy mode pug rolling method left in the game.
