As a fairly new player, the (sometimes) toxic environment of the forums puts me off.

It seems a vocal minority are able to spoil a lot of polite and constructive threads by calling each other "r3tards" etc.

I have used "r3tards" as a specific quote from a thread that I have just read. The guys post was very much against the terms and conditions of the forum - it was just a rude and personal attack on people. Plus he has used a trick to get past the language filter - presumably another no no.

Most BT fans will be older in the tooth than fans of other games, so I somewhat naively expected better.

Constructive disagreement is fun, personal insults just chase mature people away from the forums.

The forums are CRITICAL for new players - certainly at the moment where there is no proper manual or tutorial.

A button on each forum post to report inappropriate content would be a good start, and honestly should be pretty standard these days.


If moderation does not improve a little, then I worry the forums will slowly slide in to a cess pit, as it has in many other games. This would be a shame.

Still, I think we would all benefit from a nicer forum atmosphere...

Its there already, see the "Quote" options in the bottom right of my post?

Look left of those, the very, very faint "Report" button.

Just make sure to use it responsibly, or YOU'LL be moderated D:
