Sorry if this has been asked and answered, but since the last patch, I'm noticing a sound I hadn't noticed before--a "ping" (sounds kind of like a muted cymbal crash that fades quickly, or more like what you would hear at an old-time shooting gallery when you hit a pop-up target)

Seems to occur sometimes just after I land a hit on someone with a AC5 round at long range, not sure what triggers the sound.

Any one know what that sound is supposed to indicate, if anything?

Thanks!

Possibly your autocannon ejecting the spent shell?

Maybe that's it, or the sound of it reloading, and I only notice it when there are relatively few other sounds going on around me. Makes sense!

BTW, how many of BanditMan's old NetMech group is still around? I was in the Templars briefly in the NetMech days, not long before they all moved on to EQ and Tribes. I stuck around with the World Netmech League, tried to get the Taurian Concordat going there, but by then interest was waning fast and EQ was the new thing.

Templars is a good group of folks with a lot of class, good to see them in MWO.
