Locusts are pretty iconic light mechs in the Battletech mythos. They make appearances in the novels, they are popular in fan art, and they really are goofy looking things, but in a good way. I know we still have at least 3 mechs to go before we see another light come out, but if it was the Locust, would you want one?

Locust is unseen, isn't it? Beautiful 'mech, though. Certainly prettier than the Jenner.

Sure ... MP 8/12 ... and 5 of them fit into an Atlas ... surely a nice vehicle to pilot
(but as others said ... seems like it is unseen ... therefore probably wasted hope

Everything I'm seeing shows the Locust as being "reseen" as of 2009. Did something change?

Most of the variants are crap. Only the 1E would be good. I rather have a slightly heavier and faster Dart with its energy hardpoints protected in the torso.

I'm on the fence on whether Darts look spiffy, or like an over-sized Halo grunt...

If we ever get real warfare the Locust should be that basic mech that everyone has no matter what.

I would rather use a Locust over any of the current Light Mechs.

You would take a Locust 1M? No armor and two missile hardpoints seems like an automatic fail.
