Right now when two mechs make armor to armor contact we have a glitchy rubber banding happening, where the mechs appear to warp around. Does anyone actually like this?

What would you prefer?

I want ability to knock down others, assuming collision with sufficient speed and mass, and if dealing enough damage at once (to legs?).

EDIT not like in the closed beta though... that was horrible...

blocking/collision depending on momentum and mass.

similar momentum/slow speed = blocking

higih momentum/high speed = collision

Blocking at least would be my preference. Collisions might be nice, but... well... I wasn't in the Closed Beta but I've seen some footage from it, and it seemed like the collision mechanics were being exploited for easy kills. The team that won was the team that had the most Light mechs running in to trip everyone else up so they couldn't fight back.

On the other side of things I want collision mechanics because when they put in the Highlander I want to make Highlander Burials happen.

Like the idea that Tennex brought up. If they could implement a speed/tonnage based Collision/Block system it would makes things pretty interesting.

I don't like the idea of being able to knock down mechs. Makes it too easy to get a good shot.

Just blocking is good.

I wouldn't even mind all the ecm ravens if there were knockdowns, I'd probably use my jenner again and watch them all fall over.

I'll believe that when I see it. Probably won't be in for a few months at least.
