NOOBs learn the difference between Assault and Conquest if you want to base cap play conquest and stay off assault. DEV's if you do not want to lose more player base TURN OF CAP ON THE ASSAULT MAPS NOW! You are ******* off alot of players when they try to play assault in order to fight only to have the game capped in 4 minutes.

Why is it every time theres a feature somebody doesn't like they yell and the devolopers to change it or the game will fall apart?

Have you considered defending your base? Back in closed beta, there were a few people assigned to defend the base, and a fast task force to return if necessary. Maybe you should lower the number of assaults and have a number of faster 'Mechs on the side to defend?

Admittedly though it can be lame when it's 8 vs 8 with all assaults, and they go for the base cap.

That's kinda the point to not having an entire team of assaults.

Base capping serves many strategic purpouses, but it seems the OP doesn't want strategy, he wants deathmatch in his 100 ton atlas.

Have you considered just asking the Devs for a TDM mode and leave Assault as it is for those that like it that way??

nerf all the things except the things I like

Tip: run to the middle and brawl is not a tactic. Try setting up a defense or organize a scouting party to locate the enemy and keep watch on the base cap routes (tunnels, jenner alley, etc)

I like the idea of using the maps we have now to _add_ death match. Shouldn't be much of a change, just drop the home bases and create the new category. Though, I wouldn't mind if River City Night was left off that :D

While I tire of having entire sides roam an edge to the enemy base to cap, I really do like the idea of still being able to win if most of your team is destroyed and someone managed to get near the enemy base to cap before the lumberers get back.
