At the point where we can set buildings and forests on fire for cover, flamers will be infnitely useful, and counter heat vision pretty damn hard, which just happens to obviate the issue of heat vision being so much more useful for any fighting at longer than point blank range.

At the point where we can enter our own dropship and select the destination planet, the few numbers of current maps won't matter any more.

At this point we'll have quand mechs, vehicles, infantary, R&R costs, aerospace battles, artillery fire, community warfare and maybe a lot more.

Yeah, PGI could start with the space around Terra to the borders of every Faction inclueding the rasselhague Republic for the upcomming of Clan Invasion. This would support Faction Gaming and planetary Map differences. From this moment PGI can slowly expand the planetary map and go forth with instances and planetary achievments :P I hope it wont stay a dream...

thats the point. Can you overcome your own egoism to like a post that you believe contains something good?

I still doubt, that CW will be like that. But maybe that's just me trying to keep hopes and expectations low so I cannot be dissapointed.

The meme-drops have been occurring with mostly flamer builds. These drops have been mostly successful.

Do you have any idea how much chaos is caused by even 3 fast mechs with flamers? One mech with them isn't too useful, but a group of them will shatter the resolve of most except the battle-hardened 4-mans.

Flamers need more love then they're getting right now...

edit: oh yea, click the link and watch the video in my sig for a demonstration

You mean we'll be playing MW2:Mercs with the NAIS patch?

Funny story, remember that they promised us a new game mode? And we got Assault with more bases :D

If they said we will get flamable terrain - equals to beeing able to set one bush on fire on the whole map (with nice old 2d fire graphics of course)

I'm guessing you lose conquest a lot..
(conquest is conquest- playing it like assault results in a loss to any team with half a clue..)

but anyways-
I suspect OP is troll given his other posts.

Ummmm
You do realize by setting the forest on fire, you are letting your enemy know where to look for you? Right? :D

i would burn down whole upper city with 5 mech taped in the middle that would be AMAZZINGGGGG
or destroy the city with LRMs make it look like caustic valley XDD :DDD
its a nice dream. but i hope they make the terrain a little bit damageable or the trees provide cover from visibility and a little bit from damage.

I hope we NEVER have destroyable environment.

Right now weapon convergence is based on target under reticule. How awesome is it going to be when all of your direct fire weapons try and converge on the tree in front of you, instead of the 'Mech behind them?
