Mr. Ekman just posted a new update on changes to the mechlab, which looks great overall, but is missing an important function.

You need to tell players how many unused slots they have so we're not playing Where's Waldo every time we want to purchase an upgrade. I'm often recounting 2 or 3 times just in case I added it up wrong or forgot to count the head.

Crucial? Not really. Since they will be adding the upgrades to the loadout, you can easily just plop it in and configure it out how ya like without committing. I mean if the upgrade red's out, then its pretty clear you don't have room for it. Its not a huge deal to not have it, though it might help some people. Personally, never found myself needing it, even with the current system.

What they really need is save mech config 1.0 and load mech config 1.0 so that when I feel like using an lrm loadout vs an srm loadout I can just click a button to make the switch instant instead of wasting 5 minutes removing everything and re-loading it

This is what I'd like to see more than anything.

While I love the changes that the devs are making, your idea is also a good one.

agreed with the slots idea... its frustrating to search how many remaining slots are left

also this is another good idea

An ammo count, similar to what Smurfy has would also be useful, but otherwise, it looks great.
