I think OP was talking about integrated VoIP, meaning VoIP without having to install another program.

Im not generally one who argues or complains about patches and changes, but this patch has me on the verge of looking for another game to play. First off, disconnects, it seems every time Im having a good match it just drops me out, freezes and crashes. I have never had this issue with this game before. Next is the headshots, where did this come from? I thought headshots were suppose to be hard to get, I got killed in two hits with small lasers, thats screwed up, and countless times I have died before I even see anyone. I understand it takes skill, and that some people are good at it, but I had exactly two deaths by head shot before patch, I now have been killed 12 times in two days by head shots.

Add this to the fact that my srm's dont seem to be doing any damage based on my end of match scores whuich have dropped form the average 400 or 500 to the average of about 150. Like I said, I dont usually complain, but I am having a hard time enjoying the game. I was planning on getting some MC credits, but went ahead and spent my money on another game because I get too frustrated with this one these days. Sorry, but thats how I feel.

I second this! Only started playing couple days ago after around two months with only one short session over Christmas that left me feeling dejected with the game. However the performance improvements and the work done on the UI, mech lab, start/end round screens are all fantastic. I was playing on low settings before now I can run the game in high.

Still don't agree with removing repair/rearm costs but apart from that loving how the game is progressing.

- Grey Blob Mechs: when the match loads mechs texture sets don't load leaving them grey silhouettes. The heat damage that shows hits by lasers and missiles shows through this greyness but is dulled. I believe this is caused by my ATI HD5770 cards. As others have reported it while using ATI and I haven't heard someone using an Nvidia card having this issue. I was using the old 12-10 ATI drivers and updated to the 13-1 drivers this morning and the issue persisted.

- River City buildings: I have noticed that the buildings in River City appear to be all jagged triangles now with lots of areas that are transparent. The most notable is the citadel in the center but the other large office buildings have the same issue.

- Mesh like covering over map textures: In certain maps there appears to be a weird "mesh" like coating. I saw it on the exit to the tunnel on Frozen City night on the side of the lower city team. It appears in other maps as well. This mesh appears to be a mix of transparent and map texture squares/triangles over the actual map.

It kind of is. Really C3 has real bad quality. Plus it works only for an already existing group. So what it does is mimic what TS 3/Skype/Ventrilo already do. In an inferior manner. That is not at all what people were asking for. Ingame VOIP should put your whole team into a common channel no matter if you were grouped or not when hitting "Launch". And it ideally should come without the need of installing a third party app.

Seriously? Ideally it would do so based on TS 3. Meaning PGI/IGP setup a TS 3 server and integrate TS 3 into the game. As far as I am aware that would be possible since TS 3. Upon entering the game you'd also join that TS 3 server. And when a new game is made the server creates a channel for your team and puts all teammates into it.

My game was working fine since the patch, no problems. Then when the hot-fix came out, the very next game CTD once it got to the end game screen. A few games later, screen "froze" mid round and my hud got all messed up when I alt-tab'd to try to recover. Just now I joined a game with no hud, no chat box, and no reticle. I tried powering down and up, I tried turning off mech lights and and alt-tabing again, I tried just tab, I tried right shift-f11, nothing helped. Oh a day or two ago I got a rainbow map effect, both my mini-map and big map were square with no telemetry, the grid was misaligned with smaller text and it was lined with a rainbow color effect, on both screens. That went away on the next round though, without restarting. Further more the hotfix didn't even fix one of the most obvious bugs of the last patch. The Betty Spectator Bug.

I have a bug where occasionally the minimap won't even load. It's just a blank screen at the bottom. This happened twice last night.

surely the "hotfix" was just to add the sale stuff? Sounds like you are just getting a couple of completely normal bugs

I haven't had any issues. Maybe it's not the patch but the patching process that broke something. You might try a clean install.

I take it back, I've just crashed 3 drops out of 3.

They have done a bit to address this, your first 20 or 25 matches you get increased income so by the end of it new players should have enough to buy their mech of choice, still a bit of a grind but seems like a good fix to me.

Problem: Modules with more than 1 "level" of unlock (Target Decay and Adv Sensor Range) do not always show proper "locked/unlocked" status.

Steps to Reproduce (as far as I know, there may be others):

1) have 1 level of either (or both) modules unlocked (I have both).

2) Convert XP off of a mech to GXP (may work with just gaining GXP after a battle but have not checked).

3) Affected module(s) will show "Unlocked 2/2" (both of mine do).

4) Observe that the "Sensor Range" (for example) on the owned module says "15%" still, showing it is still technically correct.

Workaround:

1) Log out of game and back in to "reset" module status to correct 1/2.

Edit: Confirmed that it doesn't trigger just earning GXP, you must convert from MXP to GXP.

Since the recent patch, on the frozen city night board I cannot shoot LRMS from e6 to f4 (or right around the back end of the cave where the big drop off is). The missles hit an invisible wall on the way over. THe target was at clear LOS and at 650M and all of my missles continued to hit nothing and all explode on an invisible wall.

i'm still seeing way too many Trial Mech Vs Premades to really feel like they did enough yet to make the game enjoyable for all players.

hmmm seems like they are heading in the right direction indeed. but I would still like to see TAG/NARC start playing a deeper role in anti-ECM role.

but they still got some way to go.

No PPC's still have a horrid convergance issue, but its not stopping me from enjoying them.

lol. i'll be honest IT MAKES ME RAGE when i see my PPC shot go through enemies. or see them shoot off in the oddest angles.
but when you blast them down with PPC its VERY SATISFYING.

But it also makes me wonder when i see i've done 500+ dmg using PPC... i know it really should of been much higher than that.

I run a quad PPC Flame, i shot at a raven running by, it LOOKED like the shots went through him then all of a sudden he flew off through the air and impacted a building in flames...

my PPC'***** his head and blew up his streak ammo

Yes. I quite regularly get a red "lock-on" reticle stuck on a part of my screen. It's like ghosting.
