Frozen City
Along edge of D6 and D7
2346.2 by 2476.0 by148.2

Piloting an Atlas K, just rubbed up against the short building and got stuck. I could move my torso but the legs were stuck fast. No jumping or rubberbanding just stuck.

  • Approximately D7, I believe in the small crater in front of the dropship.

I was stopped while finishing off a hunchback, took some minor fire, and when I tried to start walking again I was unable to move. When I was finished off, my mech fell through the ground into the tunnel which runs under that area, where it hung from the ceiling by an arm.

On the Forest colony map in a HBK-4SP I got stuck at the very tip of the boat. I was able to eventually work free.

Forrest Snow. The screenshot shows the rest. I was typing and ran into a building and fell through the world. Bounced back up and was wet, then could not move.

D3 in river city, if you drop to the left side of the bridge (left when you look from lower city spawn), you can get stuck as an Atlas.

Map: Caustic Valley
Mech: Atlas AS7-D

Location: G-3

Stuck between a rock and a hard place ;)

There is a small space between two rocks that looks like you can travel through...obviously not with an atlas...

Once stuck, nothing will get you out.

Screen shakes as well because the physics engine is trying to figure out what to do with you in regards to what plane you are on - i think!

Developers here is what I am seeing.

Stalkers -
Issue-> slipping enormous amounts down hills, down boulders, etc.

Fix -> ?? what broke this in the first place?


All mechs -
Issue-> Mech spasm disorder - going over a simple boulder or small obstruction makes you 'spasm' causing your aim to change and mech torso to hunch over.

Fix -> up the amount of 'fall' or 'elevation change' that you have to encounter before this happens.
(examples, any rock that a light runs over; the 'ruts' all around the crater of caustic cause you to continuously do this; etc.)

Issue-> Numerous issues with falling through the world and getting stuck in many places.

Fix-> Allow players to 'test' maps with no combat so they can get coordinates and test running angles without hurting a 'team' playing a match. (this also goes along with a practice range idea... you can have invul mechs running around test firing at other mechs and you can have some players testing maps for issues)

Lights
Issue -> Falling damage, I am guessing this is related to the 'mech spasm disorder' mentioned above. Because of their speed there must be a calculation being made to determine when/if you spasm and they flag that as dmg to the legs for lights *i am only assuming*.

I understand that elevation change should jar you and cause the spasm. But the amount of elevation change that is causing it is what I have an issue with.

River City Night Map

I don't know what you guys did a few patches back but it has been the buggiest map for a few patches. The FPS on it suck. There are obstructions built into it that are seriously 2 ft tall and stop an atlas from moving.

You need to do a serious Quality Control Check on this map and fix it pronto.

It used to be one of my favorite maps. Now it's worse than the caustic map IMO.

River City Night

Grid is E3, I think, had the map bug that drop, but its the bridge heading from the lower spawn to upper city

coordinates: 1574.3, 1543, 22.9 in a Cataphract 4X

had a lag spike after ~2minutes stuck and was able to walk/warp clear.

G5 river city. right on the side of the building with a stalker. i have no idea what i was caught on.

I got stuck in a new place on River City tonight. It was right inside the enemy's base in the upper city. Tried forward, backward, faster, slower, jump jets. The building basically held me down while the other team could have their way with me.

This time I was recording.

Last night on River city in grid E7 (sorry couldnt jot down location details)a team mate got stuck on the corner of a building looking at the river- he was unable to turn to fire on 3 mechs in his fov, for a laff he asked to be pushed so i gave it a go. I ran into him at max speed and we both got stuck together and couldnt move or turn or fire on enemy mechs. Trying to break free I managled our legs and then I died from incoming fire and he sort of fell into the building.

He was a stalker and I was a dragon

The snagging on buildings is worst on river city and also in Heat vision mode (harder to see exact edges of buildings) imo

Thanks for the follow up.

Once I realized I was stuck, I hit F9 to show the coordinates... let me know if they are not readable and I will go back to the source file and get them for you.

Your description sounds right. I was right at the corner of the hanger. Odd thing is, I've run around that corner many, many times in previous matches and have never had a problem. The only thing I can think of that may be different is I briefly stopped to fire at that Dragon. When I tried to start back up, I realized that I could not.

While I've managed to get stuck in other places on River City, I've never been stuck anywhere near the upper base, either in Day or Night mode.

Hope that helps you replicate the issue. Let me know if you need anything else.
