Fgump that issue is caused by a corrupted pak file during the download process, the best bet to fix it is a re-install.

I have a ~90 ping, so I rarely ever had this problem, but after this patch, I have not been able to play through an entire match yet. I am continually being disconnected to the main screen after anywhere between 10 and 30 seconds after the match starts. It is very frustrating.

Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated!

No error message, while in game the screen goes black for a moment and then I find myself in the homescreen. This happened twice out of three games so far, no specific steps were noted before it crashed, it was seemingly very random. Video settings are on Very High for everything, no changes. Has occured on River City, and Caldera

Had a overheat- shutdown bug: restarted then shutdown, restarted then shutdown... heat was into the 30% range by the time it stopped. Didn't press any buttons.

client just froze 2 times since today's patch. didnt crashed to desktop, never happened to me before. and some mechwarriors from my merc unit experienced the same.

Same here ...
rarely had a crash with the last patch,
But with ther new patch I already expeerienced 2 frozen screens in maybe 6 games
(one while piloting my own mech (and trying to finish the last enemy) and another while spectating after losing my mech)

Seems also like you don´t get any XP/C-Bills after quitting with Taskmanager

Got the "FRead did not read expected number of byte from file, only 128 of 0 bytes read" error after installing the 13.2 beta 5 AMD drivers. before that i only had the missing textures on frozen city map problem.

update: it seems to work for now after the reinstall (2 games)

I got the same error previously posted again. This time it wont let me even get into the home screen after I log into the client. I sent a dxdiag/crash dump/screen shot to support@mwomercs.com

Patched, excited to check out the changes, start my first match and after what should be the transition to the startup sequence, the game locks up and crashes. 2nd match ran just fine. 3rd match same thing happens as the first.

Anyone had similar issues with the new menu? Really frustrating considering the first matches are the most important. Sending a bug report after posting this.

Well, I must say I am getting more crashes with this patch too... this seems to be the only drawback so far.

Game won't even patch for me. I get to "preparing patch 1/1" and then a warning pop-up comes up asking me to either quit or cancel. If I cancel, the patch doesn't run and if I quit, the game closes. I'm sure there's a post about this already and if so, can someone link it to me? Anyone else getting this?

I have this same problem as well since the patch. I've played about 15 games since the patch and have locked up with sound looping in nearly a 3rd of them. Been a long time, a month or more, since I've had lock-up, death screen or ctd problems in the game. Its not the same issue where alt-tabbing away from the game could fix an animation freeze. Once I alt-tab out, the game is unresponsive to gaining the focus and I have to resort to task manager, which seems to be the only course of action.

I see no log or error message, so I don't have much else to report. Nothing of note seemed to be happening in the game. Usually I was just closing distance with the enemy without firing. I will say that it happened on Frozen City more often than any other maps (it happened once on Caustic and at least once on the city map as well). In one of those instances on Frozen City Night I also had the texture problem where all the ice just appeared to be gray blobs, no detail (which is something I'd personally never seen before this patch).

Intel i7 3.5GHz
16GB ram
NVIDIA 680 w/latest driver
Windows 7

Nothing else running on the machine at the time except TeamSpeak.

After uninstalling and re-installing the game twice, I was finally able to get past a screen when doing a reinstall where it was having an issue with accessing a Temp file which was being used for the patch. After I deleted this temp folder and re-downloaded the patch, I was finally able to launch the game. While attempting to view the mech in the mechlab I experienced an issue where I saw only bubbles where the mechs should be. After attempting to check the loadout to see if I could view the mech further, I crashed to the desktop. After re-launching and going to the mechlab again, I immediately crashed to desktop again.

I am now attempting to uninstall/reinstall the game again for the third time. Will update this post after I have successfully re-downloaded the game at 1.6GB.

** Update: Still getting the bubble artifacting even after I reinstalled the game for a third time. Giving up on the game for now until this can be solved **

Crashed 3x so far out of a dozen maps played. All on different maps. No consistency found, no settings were changed.

I would turn a corner and suddenly the screen would freeze. Had to use task manager to kill the session.

I've installed specifically provided texture files in an attempt to fix this and it did not fix the issue.

I also have this problem. Multiple times tonight while in game it freezes. All maps at various times into game. Just freezes and only way to get out is to kill the game with task manager. Sometimes with sound loop, sometimes not. Checked video cartd drivers and they are current.

I had 2 crashes tonight. Both crashes my screen just froze up and I had to go to the task manager to end the non-responding game. I have only had this happen once before but that was back more than a few months ago. There was no crashdump.dmp in my user folder. Video setting were all on high except AA was turned off and playing at 720p.

System: i5 2500K, Radeon HD 6850, 8GB DDR3 memory, Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

Ok, so I just confirmed that when I say in the pre match screen it crashes me, seems to be a 3-5 second delay after. Hopefully they hotfix it, seems to be only for certain people.

For above, what does the warning message say? Screenshot would help.

Edit: Found a correlation between my crashes when I chat and running my K2, doesn't happen with any of my other mechs (stalkers, cicadas, ravens, cataphracts, other catapults)
