Difference being that you are now unlocking those colors for every mech if I'm not mistaken in how I saw the system working.

The fact remains I HAD camo that I now am forced to pay additional money for if i wish to remain with the exact paint job that i had not 12 hours ago.

My main and only gripe, is the color names.

I'm colorblind, I can understand "Blue, Red, Brown, etc"... I have no idea what things like "Indigo, Pleione, Chore, Hellblau, etc" are supposed to look similar to.

It would solve my issue if in parenthesis next to the "name" of the color to have a minor discription like -

"Blue"

"Pink"

"Red"

-etc. =)

-Edited for a "Help a colorblind guy out" link

http://mwomercs.com/...ome-color-help/

EDIT: I am not colour blind, however, when I went to school we had a box of crayolas. EIGHT big fat crayons. All those other names? Clueless here too, bud.

If I am not mistaken, each of the colours is listed more than once except the Phranken and PC Gamer ones.

That is, the is the "all list" and then there is the separate listing

Blues
Pinks
Reds
Camo Tans
Camo Browns

etc...

I have not gone through and checked, but I am pretty sure there is more than one way to select the colour you seek unless is a 'special' like the PC Gamer...

I don't see why Premium colors are so much more expensive than camo colors; is it the diversity of colors? The brightness/saturation combinations? Why are they more than the Premium colors? Really, they should be the same.

Otherwise I think it's all pretty well balanced and really does encourage people with low budgets to buy in to the game, get some MC, and paint their 'Mechs.

All in all, a great update. I look forward to the rest of the MechLab being finished and working 100%.

Unfortunately you have to shell out more **** money for the exact camo you had yesterday.

yeah, really cool.

"but you have it for all mechs"

bah.

just a roundabout way to force you to pay MORE for the same thing you had 24 hours ago.

I thought PGI was going to allow players to buy colors individually, but they didn't deliver. Sorry for the inconvenience, man. I hope it gets fixed or addressed.

I for one am perfectly happy with camo 2.0. Yesterday i had 3 mechs painted up the way i wanted. Today i have ALL my mechs painted the way i want them...and i spent LESS. Spamming the feedback forum with your discontent will not help your case.

GJ PGI keep it up!

Here's the fix:
One time color selection for previous MC cost (I think it was 125mc) so that people who don't want or can't pay additional REAL money can have the mech skins they had yesterday.

You obviously know how to do this since you can 'unlock' the camos for a 'one time use'.

We, as a community asked for this. Over and over again. And they listened to us.

It's a beta and they re-worked their camo spec in order to give the community what we preferred. They gave us every cbill / mc we spent. If you can't afford exactly what you had before that's a shame, but it's a beta and those things are to be expected.

The only way you are paying more is if you purchase the color's as they have them set on the skin. In my situation, I have unit color's and I can now apply them to skins without having to purchase the colors that come default. For me it's a prefect scenario. If I only want Phranken Light, then that's all I need to purchase. If I only want the skin, then there I go. I now have the pattern 'stencil' for that variant.

Tell that to the ECM whiners. ECM is fine.

Also I have the fix already laid out.

It's just ridiculous. Colors and patterns are the perfect thing to be microtransactions of $1 or less to make volume money for almost zero cost on their end to implement.

My mechs will be staying rather plain until they price them properly. Sounds like that's the case for most of us. What a shame.

When they come out with a pricing scheme this screwed up, it kind of makes me regret dropping $80 on MC this weekend to show my support for the game.

I feel for you brother.

That would only have made me even more enraged.

I don't even want to launch into a game to check out the other "cool new features" and **** anymore. Might just go play WoT and get drunk lmfao.

edit:

thanks for the merge rofl.

also I guess my 'fix' wont work since I re-noticed/forgot the following:
Colours are no longer available for single use applications - all colour purchases are permanent unlocks - which means all future applications of an unlocked colour have no cost!

$2.80 for a premium color? FOR A SINGLE COLOR?
$3.20 for a single camo pattern?
1.2 Million C-bills for a single BASIC color?

I mean, I'm glad PGI decided to do away with the one-shot system and lower prices, but with the current MC costs, this is still way too much for a single color.

Also, NONE of the colors should be MCs. Patterns are one thing, but a color?

Coloring your mech should be something fun you do to express yourself, not a representation of your wallet.

Welcome to my ignore list Fire Missionary. You have 13 posts, and all of them are spam from today, about the same topic, and all with a negative tone.

I'm sorry that you are so upset.

Just wanted to say, great job on the new color system! You even added a new Purple just for me: Porphyro.

The only suggestion I have now, aside from advising you to run regular sales on colors (sales on digital products are always a great idea), is to add Metallic Silver, Metallic Gold, and perhaps a few other metallics (Bronze, Platinum, etc.). As things stand now, I've had to use Turmeric to approximate gold in my paint jobs.

Also, it'd be wonderful for the Founder skin to become an actual skin (locked on Founder mechs and not available in the store) with full color channel customization allowed (plus it'd be handy to have the Founder colors as special unlocks).

I think the new shade of blue for friendly mechs on the minimap is harder to see than the old color.

Aside from the obvious pricing being too high, I find it offensive with more than 100 colors added to the palette, not a single one was given to the basic lineup. Furthermore, my mechs don't look like they're supposed to anymore. There is absolutely no way that I can get a Catapult to look like a catapult without buying premium colors.

Also, why are the basic colors so... Different from what they are called?

Basic Red looks like it is accented with a purple or magenta.
Basic Purple looks more like purple mixed with blue-gray,
Basic Blue looks OK. A little bold for a basic color though.
Basic Green is really Olive. This looks appropriate, but it isn't really green.
Basic Orange looks like... What was the fresh paint color when it came out of the factory? Peach?! On a war machine?!

If it were up to me, I'd feature eight basic colors. Red (not lipstick!), blue (slightly desaturated and lightened), Orange (NOT PEACH!!), Olive, Yellow, Brown, 80% Gray, and 20% Gray. These seem to be pretty basic, and reasonable.

One more thing. Mechs have a default color scheme. This color scheme is NOT olive! There should be a 'reset to default' button available for each channel. and mechs should retain their original colors unless I change them. If I decide to recolor a catapult, and channel 1 was amber by default, I should be able to keep it that way, even if I don't own amber as a color. I don't want to rebuy a mech just because I don't own the original color.

That is all.
