Being a guy:

(1) with three Awesome variants sitting in my Mechbays, not because they are (were) efficient, but because I always loved the chassis since immemorial tabletop times;
(2) frequently mocked by friends for insisting on PPC loaded, overheating, huge torso sized targets;
(3) that thinks "9M" when asked: "do you have anything fast?" or "can anyone scout?"

I have to say: thanks a bunch!

The AWS (and PPCs!) were really needing these "tweaks"

And I just read the patch notes. If this turns out to be half as good as I´m thinking, I´ll buy the Baby just out of gratitude (I don´t think it will be as effective as the 9M, because of the loss of lasers, but then again, streaks can prove me wrong).

Agreed, any buff is a nice edition. I'm actually more excited about the prospect of using 4 LPL and 3 ML on my 8Q (with new 300 STD engine ) or 3LPL 1 ML or MPL 2srm4 1 srm6 9M than any of the other changes.

After a few matches, my new favorite mech might be the LPL awesome

Piloting an 8V with 1 ERLL, 2 LPL, 1SM and 3 SSRM and its wreaking havoc! It did before the patch, too. Now it's just better in terms of heat (Heat efficiency 1,3!!! with STD 280 and 20DHS).

Would own 3 of theses mech if it were not for the broad side of a barn silhouette its got. Love the 3 ERPPC 8Q. New tweaks were nice. Would like to see a little more torso armor, or some slimming down.

Yes, but the real question is:

Have they improved the Awesome's ability to climb hills?

I'll have to take my Awrcher out again for a spin in the near future I think (an 8T with ARC-2R armor values as they'd be in MWO, 2 LRM 20, TAG in the head slot, 4 Medium Lasers, somewhat slower than an actual Archer since I haven't upgraded the engine yet and more heatsinks than an actual Archer would have) to check out the changes.
