It needed a nerf, (not) too many people were using it as extra armor to prevent 1 shots. Since most people only headshot by accident it never became a problem. Though at least PGI noticed before it became too widespread.

A truly fearsome DDC would be using quad-CC, 2 TAGs, 2 MGs, 2 Narcs, an XL engine, and SHS.

If you're using an MG with that build, you're a damn powergamer and munchkin, and you know it! You'd probably also try to install a clan double heat sinks on that thing.
