Take a CD9-A. Toss the big gun out. Add 3 SRM6+Artemis and 2 MPLAS.

Then paint it like this. At first glance most people will think, "Yen-Lo-Wang," and focus everything on the big right arm. But there's nothing in the arm. In fact you can get both arms shot off (and the right torso too) and still have all of your fire power.

That's my build for the variant but I prefer to use a standard engine. So can only fit 2 srm6. Very effective though.

Thanks for the advice :(

Sorry. I actually don't have an A variant, and I didn't spend the time in Smurfy's to try the loadout. The image above is really a CN9-D. I might try it on my D since it already has an XL engine.

BTW I just bought the white in the above pic for only 250 MC. It's on sale right now. All of the good reds are more pricy.

Heh, paint it whatever, Cent-A, 3 lrm 15, 2 sl, 1000+ lrms with its top engine. If the other team has no/little ecm you can make it rain!

I went with three LRM 10 two MLAS and the stock engine. Max armor, DHS, Endo and all the rest of the weight went into LRM ammo. All I did was rain LRMs until I ran out, then I just zombied it up with (usually) full armor near the end of the match. It was a beast, even with how slow it was.

Remember Artemis on SRM is useless when you have to lead your target. You have to keep your crosshair on target for Artemis to be effective

The load out is nice, I run a simaliar build with one of my centy's. Rather effective overall.

Painting it to try and look like Yen however.....well if you like the paint go for it but I don't beleive it will confuse too many people. I love killing Yen-lo's, but I identify them by the "Yen-Lo-Wang" written above thier heads, not thier paint scheme.

To be honest, I only take the time to look at the paint jobs of my team mates at the begining of a match and even then they can be hard to see. I don't beleive I have ever once noticed an enemies unless it really stood out. Im usualy to busy trying to kill them.

From a yen-lo hunter it would in no way confuse me at all. But it is a rather evil approach indeed! As they say...there is a sucker born every minute, you just need to hope they are on the other team =)

I tried and tested it in six pug games. I have to say it works pretty darn good. Took a little getting used to but I started topping the board in the last three games.

It is not as flexible as the HBK-4SP due to lack of arm mounted lasers and the lack of range, but it packs a more powerful punch and is more durable. Now I can't really comment on the effectiveness of painting it like a JLW. I had to take some armor of the arms and I use them as shields as such they tend to go pretty fast even without people focusing on them.

For testing I used a a 260 engine, no artemis and 39% cooling efficiency [link] but I want to try a 250 engine, with artemis and 34% cooling efficiency [link]. I cant say which build works better yet because with the current build I had a really comfortable balance between the opportunities to fire and the heat load. I'm also not sure if the extra accuracy is worth the slight loss of speed.

Check out my links Muffin. It's possible to get all 3 on there with a standard engine.
