Jumping around, patrolling the wilderness, running light defense, then skittering away.

It is a Davion 'Mech but the game will start in the FedCom era. Sharing is caring!

Later (Clan Invasion), if i can go with the Smoke Jaguars finally, i would pilot a Firemoth or a captured House Marik Tarantula quad for a scout- reconnaissance role. I like light Scout mechs, but i also love the assault class. I would use a Warhawk at open terrain (long range) or my beloved Annihilator for ultmate urban war-brawling! It isn't an easy choise, cause i like many different tactics and different mechs.
Short version: I would pilot ALL of my favorite Battle- and OmniMechs, but it's just a dream for now, cause none of my fav. chassis is released at this time. So i have to hope...

Then maybe move up a weight class to a centurion/enforcer/shadowhawk/vindicator

Oh wait.
Sentinel :)
Vindicator
Trebuchet?
Commando (It'd feel just like MW2:Mercs!)
Centurion? Crab? I don't know, I love too many!
I think I'd like to start with a Wolfhound or Clint, honestly. Something in the 30-40 ton range.

Openish: Highlander HGN-732b
Urban: King Crab KGC-000b
I'm going Clan when they are implemented so
All comers: Ebon Jaguar B
Openish: Highlander IIC
Urban: Dire Wolf-S
I like the heavy/assualt mechs and hope to take a commander role. And IMO the Orion is one of the most iconic IS mechs. I started playing MW3 so that might be why. lol

I am serious when I say this. I think the game would be made all the more interesting if we were all randomly given 'mechs based on faction preferences. Of course, I think that it would be fair to be able to narrow the randomization down to various 'mech roles (As in - picking a role would limit the randomization down to faction preferred 'mechs for that role, but stlll makes it random. Just as an example, a Draconis Combine player might want to select a Fire Support 'mech, and the computer could randomly give you a Whitworth, a Catapult, a Longbow, an Archer, or a 'mech that is not normally found in the Draconis Combine, albeit at a lower probability)
If I were given a choice, I think I've narrowed my desired 'mechs down to either a Spider or a Whitworth, with the Jenner as my "In case they don't show up" choice. I want to be able to take up a role in this game in which I'm not handicapped by the fact that I've got pee-poor reflexes and reaction time. That's generally why I've been a single-player gamer - AI can be tough, but you can eventually learn and get better. Multiplayer requires a MUCH larger time investment to get good, and even breaking even on the kills/deaths ratio requires some real practice.
...And to be honest, I want to devote my practice to playing Battletech tabletop. I'd rather have Mechwarrior computer games be a chance to have a mindless, visually immersive experience of the Battletech universe. I'd play A Time of War to get my Battletech universe fix, but I'm forever stuck as a GM. The few times I run into a Battletech RPG, it's being run by some guy who has either made some hamfisted attempt at an alternate universe (because they don't like the canon after point x), or they've somehow modified the core of the universe to suit their own tastes (Force powers for Mechwarriors, or Aliens invade... or something).
