Microsoft has better and more intimidating lawyers than FASA or Catalyst does.

MW4:
Unseen Longbow:
I know the models are different but that has not yet kept HG from trying to sue over models that are "too similar" and the apparent missle pods are uncanny between them. Although I do know that HG doesn't own the intellectual rights to the unseen Macross mechs (they are owned by a japanese company called Tatsunoko Production) and the Robotech unseen mechs are licensed designs from yet another japanese company whose name I don't know, which technically means if the models arn't exact duplicates then HG doesn't have a legal case. I'm rather inclined to believe that Microsoft actually used the intellectual rights arguement to get their version of the Longbow in and may or may not have strong-armed HG to backdown.
*Edit* fixed typo

Spector. 35 Ton Inner Sphere. Even mentioned in one of the "ISN News Flashes"
http://mwomercs.com/...isn-news-flash/
Some of the 3058 Mechs are actually old Star League designs that popped up in small numbers before getting the full production lines going again in the mid-late 3050's
Shootist was on Tukayyid in 3052...So was the Excalibur...etc...pulled out of mothballs by Comstar.

I'll add the spector, I'll consider creating a seperate list for Comstar since they are different enough from the rest of the IS.

I know, for a while they were out again (Project Phoenix), but the issue reared its ugly head and now they're banned.
Likely you wont see some of our fav's, unless the dev's get clearence for them.
It would be a shame indeed to have the game shutdown becasue of a law suite before its even begun.
Greedy corporations and crooked lawyers ruin everything.

I miss the Battlemaster from the Mecjwarrior/commander games, closest thing now is the atlas from my childhood memory, I never got into the tabletop or the lore all that much, just read the fiction and played the PC games, so dont quote me on anything lol.

You can actually find the original mechwarrior on sarna.net in the downloads section and then you can get it running in DOSBox, runs great no super speed or anything either.

Even if they did (unlikely) it would be better in the longrun for BT/MW fans if the designs were just redesigned and done with it. Licensing can get ugly and BT/MW has had enough problems with it already.
