I honestly don't know how effective any advice for a toe to toe between a stalker and an atlas will really be. If you're both completely aware of eachother, the only really solid advice imo would be to stay the hell away as long as possible and try to take it down with your lasers and UAC5s.

My Stalker 3F and 5M are both faster than any Atlas, the 3F has a 90 damage alpha, with great heat efficiency, and the 5m has a 100 damage alpha, with somewhat worse heat efficiency. If you're within 270M you're in for a world of hurt, and while taking off a side torso really does help in lowering the damage output, the stalker still has such a massive base damage output that he can still outgun most mechs with a side torso gone.

Best bet imo is to try to keep distance between you and the stalker, and have faster mechs outmanouever it. Just about every time an atlas has gone toe to toe with one of my stalkers, he has folded like paper. Not because I'm particularly good, but because the damage output is just too much for any mech to cope with at that range if they don't have good speed. A stalker has less armor than an Atlas, but not that much less. He will overwhelm you with ease unless you keep your distance, or have help.

i have no idea how is to be in an atlas facing a stalker but from my dragon i saw a lot of stalkers backing down when 1vs1, probably because i am faster and more agile and i get in their blank spots faster, my dragon can take some damage until i get where i want and from there they have a problem
