for what it is worth, the initial beta testers may have been chosen due to the demographic they expect to be the primary density of the player community - I am thinking 25-35 as the base group. I submit that the few, if any, of the older players who have grown aged and wise playing everything since the TT was issued were selected. (keep reading to find out why I think that) Subsequent candiates will be the younger demographic, probably 18-25, brought in to see how modifications to the mech operation has been more finely tuned based on the early impressions of the initial Beta Testers. I think that the older (and probably Veteran) players - those in the 40 and older group will be brought in last, if needed, because they more likely quickly learn how to pilot the mech stable (because they have played a lot of mechwarrior video games over the years) and will be more critical about piddly, annoying detaily timey-whimey thingies that the younger players would have missed (but will not in the future as they play more).

I am in the "sage and aged" group and can wait until game Launch. Well, until 17 June, anyway.

If the devs are serious about an NDA, they won't let anyone under 18 in for legal reasons. Having a guardian over 18 sign the NDA for someone under 18 is something most developers don't bother with. Devs really serious about the NDA will have you sign a document and mail it in along with a photocopy of ID.

You're right, this thread is about how the DEVS go about checking your age so you can determine whether or not it would be practical to lie to them. The intent of this thread is obvious to anyone can read, as is the fact that the OP is likely 14-16 years old.

The OPs' constant raging at anyone else who didn't have trouble figuring it out only reinforces this conclusion.

You are *NOT* 18. You will *NOT* play in the beta test. Learn to live with that, and wait until July 17th with the other 98% of people on the forums.

Why is this even being discussed? If you're too impatient to imput your birthday incorrectly, then I doubt you'd make a very good tester anyway. You ever spend 2 hours trying to get your avatar/mech/tank/ect stuck or glitched? Cause that's what you do in Testing. It's not just playing the game.

I vote this useless(sorry but it is) topic be removed. Asking when or how or why your profile is tagged or flagged for or against anything is only useful if your looking for a way around the process.

I find it incredibly ironic that people who are unable to comprehend the OP and jump to conclusions about other people's ages are trying to claim that others don't meet the requirements for the beta.

I find it even more funny that members who are obviously not staff are trying to make decisions on behalf of the staff as if they have any authority whatsoever.

Are you serious?!?! Get over it man, you just don't like that you got called out on what your true intent is. Your post is not just comprehended, it is transparent. And i really should mention to you that ignoring people here is more a detriment to you than it is to them.

well it makes sense, it's just a legal issue and that's all. If you're under 18 (in the us) your parent/guardian has to sign off on legal contracts. There may be exceptions but I don't know them.

I would guess if you just put in a random birthday and picked 2011 as the year, you are not the kind of person they want beta testing their game.
