2 D-DC and 2 3L in there, gotta love farmers.

I don't see that as farming. I see it as a coordinated group making the most of the mechs they've got. Notice also, that they are all Kurita >spit<. They are flying their colors proudly, and should be commended for doing so, unlike the true farmers who try to hide their merc group status behind Lone Wolf tags.

<ic>I'd rather kiss a Kurita than associate with cowardly lions.<ooc>

Anyway, here's an example from just a minute ago, where I and our 8 man LW team faced an 8 man flying all Founders colors. We may have been all in PUG mode, but that is irrelevant. My team had newbies, who even going in had already decided they would lose.

And we proceeded to lose. In the midst of the match, when my team was down 4 and the other team was still full at 8, here is what would have happened in the "good ol' days":

<Stomping Team> Say Gents, looks like you might need some pointers. Lets do some 1v1s while we have some time maybe we can help ya out with some shooting practice.
<Stomped Team> Thanks, man, we could use some pointers.

Here is what happens today:

<Stomping Team> LAWL NOOBS U SUCK
<Stomped Team> [disco]

In the second scenario (which happens over and over these days), PGI loses customers.

In the first scenario, the game thrives.

Get the picture?
=H=

How about no? Does no work for you, you arrogant asshat?

Why would I possibly want to join a corp that has people like you in it?

Then be content with your losses. Asshats like me love coordination and victory.

Elo is going to brutally, brutally punish farmers. They are going to see their win/loss rate and KDR drop like it got kicked out of an airplane and there's no way to stop it. I'm pretty content with that and expect it to be funny.

I do think it would be good to show though. Up front and after the game. People aren't going to quit - premades lose all the time and especially after Elo will be losing around 50% or so of their games (after they lose 70-90% for a while and settle at their actual skill level after farming. It's an inescapable beating, kinda funny) so it would be good to show them if only to quiet all these complaints.

It's not about premades, it's about how skilled are the people you drop with. Premade drops just skew the odds in your favor. Clowntastic imbalances to ECM and missiles aside.

Ok hmm, confused. I call farmers the chinese players who come on for 23 hours a day to grind up Cbills and XP for sale to other players for real cash.

Terminology coming from other games for a decade.

We're calling farmers now something different? Premade players are farmers?
